On tap at beach wood BBQ in LB
A - murky brown (really nice!), two finger head and sticky sweet lacing
S - sour, sweet, wood, nice bready yeast, sweet fruits, dried fruits, citrus, terroir, very nice malts (sweet and toasted), maple, a slight cherry, smells of a freshly open wine or bourbon barrel
T - really nice sweet and toasted malts up front, great fruit character, the wood is very nice, maple syrup, sour, sweet, very nice bitter, cherries, apples, jasmine, cherry blossom, terroir, red wine blend and more dried fruits
M - full body, nice balance, very nice complexity, low acidity and long very nice sweet and sour finish
D/O - this is a great barrel aged beer. So crisp and refreshing, fresh and just yummy! Loving this for sure. If you dont like sours but enjoy barleywine, stay away! If you love both and BA beers, give her a whirl!
Final thought - great, great beer!

On-tap at Beachwood Brewing
Pours amber in color with an off-white head. A pleasant sourness that has a nice fruity, almost strawberry, aroma to it. Some hints of hay and oak as well as a touch of vinegar. There still is a fair amount of sweet malt and toffee notes with a hint of vinegar. The flavor has a mild bourbon character to it as well as some vanilla and brown sugar and toffee sweetness. Light to moderate tartness of vinegar, underripe fruits, and strawberries. Surprisingly good.
