Notes: Our complex and seriously satisfying stout is full of flavor and yet still smooth on the palate. Its medium-to-full bodied mouthfeel and creaminess comes from the generous amounts of flaked oats added to the mash. The flavors of dark chocolate, toffee and light-roast coffee are balanced with the slightest hint of residual sweetness on the back end.

Bottom line up front...its just a good dark stout. Nice to even have the option of a craft stout. Very dark with a smooth pour and stable head that is a nice light brown contrast. Medium to full bodied, so it's not going down that quick. Personally wish it had a higher abv.

Very well crafted stout. Full bodied. Pours clean and dark with a tan head exhibiting good retention. Nice coffee, chocolate, and toffee aromas. Similar flavors. There is very little to criticize with Walker Station. Maybe it could have a tad more bitterness; but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Walker Station is a go-to Stout in a sea of stouts with all kinds of flavor additions. This brewery has it's own farm where they raise most of the ingredients. Available only in Georgia currently (2019).

Just a solid Oatmeal Stout. Very approachable, but complex. Roasted coffee and caramel come right though on the nose. The low ABV In this Georgia Stout helps drinking a few of these on a Sunday morning.

12 ounce can - $2.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a very dark brown, near black body with a puny, narrow, light beige head.

Smell: Crackly, lightly charred roast with a distant smokiness emanating from it. Spent coffee grounds, dry chocolate, a minute background swirl of oats and just a hint of fruitiness.

Taste: Roasty with a light touch of smoky char about it. Slight coffee, dark bitter chocolate. A bit of oat-derived creaminess. Its sweetness is fairly subdued. Relatively scant dark fruitiness. Minimally bitter. The flavors aren't overtly bold, here, making for a fairly restrained albeit smooth beverage. Softly chocolaty, silken finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Walker Station is good, even if it is a tad reserved. It's pleasing just to see "a stout" being offered up these days.
