300 ml bottle, poured into a tulip glass. ABV is 7,5%.
Appearance is disappointing. Half the way through the pouring, I realized it was not going to have any head, so I poured even harder. It didn't matter. I was left with just half a finger of white head, that disapperad straight away too. Colour is slighty hazy, orange golden.
Aroma is fruity and yeast. Smell a bit smoked too.
Taste is sweet with peach notes, yeast and white grapes. I would say it has a complex taste, but not necessarily in a good way. There are some off flavours that I can't tell exactly what they are, but I can tell they are, well.. off.
Quite thin on the body, light carbonation.Only a little bit dry on the palate.
Overall, this was disappointing on so many levels. Even more since I had other beers fromm this brewery and they were pretty good. Anyway, this beer has nothing to do with a tripel.

A clear, orange golden beer with a settling head.

Smell of light malt with hints of dirty laundry and vegetables.

Taste is pretty sweet and has some honey and toffee notes. The vegetable smell can be tasted too. Very little bitterness. The alcohol is well hidden. I don´t have a clue why this is called Abbey beer. There is a dry yeast taste to the beer anyway.
