A clear pale straw color with a generous fluffy white head. The foam settled quickly, leaving a wispy cap. Smells like a pale lager - not much there, a bit of grain, no hop presence. There is also a bit of buttery DMS aroma. The taste is a bit better - slightly sweet grainy malt with a very subtle floral bitterness. Also there is slight DMS in the taste. Light-bodied and medium-carbed.

Nose of grains, malt, hay, cereal, light fruitiness, seltzer. Taste moderately sweet malt, grass, bread, light floral hops, faint biscuit & orange, easy drinkable brew.

Poured into a small pint glass. Pours a light golden amber with a big, fizzy, three finger white head that dissipates almost immediately, leaving slight ring around the glass and no lacing. Aroma of grainy malt, a hint of orange (may be name suggestion) and light grassy hops; pretty much a typical Euro pale lager profile. Flavor similar, with grainy, husky malt, a hint of butteriness, dry grassy hops. Finishes with attenuated grainy malt and grassy hop bitterness. Light bodied with active carbonation. Both the grainy malt and hops have a little rough edge to them, although the overall flavor tastes a little watered down, particularly in the end. Although the mild diacetyl flavor is usually considered a flaw, it actually helps mellow out the rough edges of the the other flavors. Credit for a bit more flavor character than many other bland Euro lagers, but the body was too light to support it. Meh. I wanted to try this again, as it was one of my very early introductions to foreign beers. I don't remember my 30 year old reaction, but I hope it was slightly better back then.

A summer beer without the self-hatred. For when your grilling and your friends or significant other will give you grief about double fisting bud limes.

I do not understand why this beer got such bad reviews. Perhaps the conditions in which I had it made a difference. I had been working outside in the 90+ temp with high humidity. I had this beer and it was quite refreshing under this circumstance. A bitter IPA would not do (although later that was my beer of choice).

Anyway, poured from a 16 ounce can into a pint nonic glass. Clear. Nice head and, most of all, it quenched my thirst.

I believe the point of this product is to drink all 6 half liters at once.
A chugging beer.
Tastes like any other pale lager but goes down easier with a low impact hangover.
An upscale Dutch Budweiser for a party. It only costs 8 bucks for a 6.
It's a beer that most non-beer-people would probably enjoy.
