greeley seems like a boom town for breweries right now, more and more of them every time i visit it seems like, and i was stoked to find this quaint little operation right in the center of town. its a neat old building, not sure what used to be here, but it feels sort of frontier and western to me, big shop window in front, long bar hall layout, maybe an old house with a storefront or something, an old bank even, not sure, but its architecture is neat and the space is cozy with the afternoon light coming in. i was welcomed by the brewer as well as the bartender when i walked in and sat at the bar that only had a handful of seats at it. smaller beer menu, i didnt see the brew house but i assume the volume here is pretty small, so a modest selection with what i imagine to be high turnover as things run through quickly. i had a white ale, an ipa, and a black ale that were all pretty good, decently unique, and drinkable across the board. looked like a good mix of modern and old school styles, and some professional brewing competence was evident in the ones i had. service was exceptional here, friendly and kind and the right amount of chatty, really made the experience pleasurable. when i am back in town, i will definitely be in here for a pint. if you have missed this cool little place until now, definitely make a point to check them out!
