Poured into an Empyrean Carpe Brewem tulip.

Pours extremely pale gold and lightly hazed. A white grape meets white grapefruit color. Exceptional amounts of tiny champagne-level bubbles. Solid head. Outstanding lacing.

White stone fruit, cherry, and pear on the nose along with equal measures of funk, wood, leather, floral notes, and lemongrass.

An interesting melange of flavors. Lightly sweetened grainy/bready pale malts on the tip of the tongue. Pear and white grape in midstream and then--the Idaho Gem really shows up. Ranier cherry and lavender soap flavors balance the sweetness, along with some subtle nuttiness. The finish is tingly, grassy, and a bit herbal. Only a touch of booze.

Medium light in body. Excellent carbonation. Remarkably drinkable for the ABV level.

I'm really starting to dig the hallmark malt backbone of CAA's brews. This is an excellent beer.
