This brew, like the ensemble of the Feldschlosschen products I managed to try while there, settles for the most minimalistic and, euh, swiss-ly neutral quality standards. With not much to distinguish it from a regular crap macro lager, the hopfenperle boasts its terribly disappointing bitterness as its trait of personality. boo-hoo, this one sucks as much as the last one, and the same hops are there.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a clear yellow with fluffy white head. Bubbles rising throughout. The nose is grainy, slight citrus, hay, grass, and a bit of leather.
The taste is pretty smooth, with a slight of hops. Bread, wheat, grass, and marmalade.

On tap in Geneva. Poured a crystal clear, straw-yellow color with a small, white head of fluffy foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of corn, grains, and toffee. Sweet caramel taste with a touch of bitterness.

330ml Bottle in VIP Bar, Basel (6 CHF):
Another very poor Swiss pale lager & far too similar to the same brewery's 'Original' beer, the only difference being this one is worse. There's some cheap lager malts & corn with a light body that seemed watered down, bland & boring; definitely one to avoid.
