5.00% ABV confirmed per my can. Aluminum can served into a generic drinking glass in Zurich, Switzerland. Reviewed from notes taken June 2010.

A: Pours a 2.5 finger head of very slight cream, fair thickness, and poor retention. Body colour is a clear yellow.

Sm: Pleasant cream. Barley. That's it. Simple, boring, and uninspired.

T: Cream over a barley foundation. Simple but surprisingly a bit refreshing. Decently balanced.

Mf: Smooth and wet, but executed alright. Helps the flavours move along.

Dr: Decently drinkable. Very affordable by Swiss standards, and of average ABV - so I suppose it'd be of use if you find yourself in Zurich with a serious need to get knackered on the cheap. Still, it's below average in terms of quality.

0.5l can poured in a chalice.

A: Pours a pale golden color with a 1 to 2 fingers foamy bubbled head. Medium retention and some lacings left

S: Grainy smell. Mainly sweet malts. Metallic and ashy end

T: Quite grainy too but it lacks on hops and bitterness. Metallic aftertaste

M: Light to medium body (a bit creamy). Medium (reasonable) carbonation. Light taste

O: Low drinkability. In a nutshell, a failed tentative to produce a better quality Feldschlösschen...

Nice gold color with a generous head that leaves a good bit of lacing. Very good start. Grainy, malt very conspicuous up front with only the slightest hint of hops. Taste of bread in the middle, not offensive but lacking in character. Feels heavy with no distinguishing characteristics that would make you feel that this was a premium above the regular Feld. This finish is more of the same with a slight sweetness that adds nothing and takes nothing away. A confusing offering from this brand, in my opinion. For the price, the premium tag seems that this is a way to market an upscale brew that is barely better than the standard Felds and weaker than the Hopfenperle.

Feldschlösschen seems wanting to attack the white collar market with this brew. They should have done better though.
Full bodied for a lager, sure, but not tangy at all ... the taste is woody and sweetish, not concerted, soury aftertaste
a poor example of a so called "premium", rather an unattractive pricey blue collar brew
it's a shame labelling this "Swiss Premium Quality" ... avoid
