Took home a 6pack after an awesome lunch at the brewpub in Hartford. Better than anything I had in my flight except maybe the double IPA. This is a very nice citrusy not overly bitter and very balanced IPA THAT WENT DOWN SO NICELY with food. Definitely would buy again.

I was not a fan of the regular naughty nurse beer but this IPA was different and had a much better flavor in my opinion. It was to me, a familiar run of the mill local IPA taste ive had before. Which is fine, but nothing special. Definitely a step up from their other stuff in my opinion.

Bottle poured into glass, purchased locally.
L- medium amber color, short head, medium opacity
S- lemon peel, caramel malts
T- a unique flavor that is very different from the smell: sharp and crisp malts on the tongue that transition to red fruit/fruity pebbles. Hops are mild for IPA but add a slight bitterness.
F- medium body
O- An interesting IPA, it grew on me towards the end of the glass. The smell and taste are very separate which adds a unique dimension to drinking this beer. The taste is moderately complex in terms of transition from start to finish, but there aren't many unique notes in there. Overall it's an interesting take on an IPA but a bit on the malty side to be a regular drinker for me.

Growler from the brewery. This IPA is a hoppier version of their Naughty Nurse Amber.
Smell is not that prominent, but a nice blend of fruity/piney hops and caramel malts. Tastes much more hoppy and bitter than the amber, with some nice pine resin flavor and a solid malt base with some caramel sweetness. A bit juicy and resiny viscous feel with lingering bitterness and a smooth finish. Nice beer, glad to have it fresh from the brewery!
