Like particles colliding in the Tevatron Particle Collider that was once in Batavia, IL, the hops in this beer create an explosion of flavor in this Double Dry Hopped Double IPA. We use huge additions of Vic Secret, Ella, and Motueka hops to create a tropical fruit extravaganza over a base of Golden Promise, Pilsner, Malted Oats, and Flaked Wheat.
One of our favorite beers, the hop profile is heavy tropical fruit. We tatse notes of ripe mango, papaya, passion fruit and pineapple. Enjoy!

I have no idea when I bought this/how old it is. Still pretty enjoyable. Standard cloudy creamy appearance a NE would have, pale orange colors. More citrusy and juicy on the nose than the taste. Has a bit of nuttiness and bitterness and tartness with a mild citrusy taste. Medium bodied and creamy, mild alcohol presence. Pretty good offering from a very consistently good brewer.

Hazy like thick pulpy orange juice in color with a decent offwhite head, she looks nice. Pineapple and general tropical fruits on the nose, decent here. Peachy mango and passion fruit tropical with a somewhat piney finish, ok I can drink this. Not creamy but decent body with ok carbonation.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high dense white head that never completely faded away and also left thick lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of herbs and tropical fruits are present in the nose.
T: The taste is much more tropical compared to the smell and has flavors of pineapple and passion fruit along with hints of basil herbs. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, crisp and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer is rather complex and it does a good job at masking nearly all of the alcohol from the taste.

The look on this one was a little more cloudy than hazy. Nice tropical smell with pineapple leading the way. The taste was juicy up front with a little pine and earthiness to it. Nice full fluffy mouthfeel.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on September 13, 2019. Brewed with Vic Secret, Ella, Motueka and CTZ hops. Malts include Golden Promise, Pilsner, malted oats and flaked wheat. Tropical fruit notes.

Released 8/29/19; drank 9/6/19 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dull orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice off-white head; frothy, tree-rung lace.
Dry grass, grapefruit & table sugar notes in the nose.
Sticky, medium thick mouthfeel.
Grapefruit & dry grass flavors up front; table sugar & faint booze heat notes on the finish.
Heading into American barleywine territory here...never a good thing, in my opinion. Drinkable but not real enjoyable.
