I am shocked by the reviews. This is by far the best session IPA I've tasted. It is, what it is. You can't expect miracles from a canned, mass produced 4.7% beer, but this one delivers. It tastes like it has a lot more alcohol than it really does, and goes down easy... but not that easy. It leaves a nice track on your palate. I highly recommend this as a session beer, or dare I say any beer for that matter. Great job! Unique can design. Keep em coming.
PS: Please don't compare this to your Doubles and such. It is a session beer, but the amount of flavor they've gotten out of it is astonishing.

12 oz can. Pours very hazy golden orange with a big fluffy white head that retains well and leaves little lacing.

The aroma is sweet crystal malts with some soapy, floral, fruity hops.

The flavor is sweet crystal malt with tropical fruit and a spicy, grassy, resiny bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, a nice session IPA.

DATE: January 15, 2017... OCCASION: watching AFV with the family... GLASS WARE: Howard’s Pub pint... light, bright, yellowish and hazy body that sports appropriately baby-sized bubbles throughout... head is white, cloudy, creamy at a quarter-inch... for a sessions ale, vibrant, punchy lemon zest, vanilla, light cracker... sips are rapid, slick, wet--inviting and light-bodied, but doesn’t evacuate before ... not much of an aftertaste, but a toasted maltiness is discernible... a nice cirrus sky is painted as the glass drains... lemon grass, slight pine, vanilla, toasted bread, and west coast wet hop makes for an ale that, at 4.7% ABV, invites sip after sip without concern... I struggle with the idea that this is an IPA, though--wouldn't calling this a pale be more suitable? overall, a fair pairing with the other Speakeasy offerings...

Pours a finger of head on a hazy straw body.
The aroma is pine, lemon and grapefruit. Nice.
The taste has moderate pine bitterness, a little resin. Pretty flavorful.
The texture is crisp.
A great smelling and tasting Session.

I tend to struggle with session IPAs. They're too often thin, hollow, and overly reliant on dry-hopping, with little care given to the rest of the brew. This one worked pretty darn well, though, with a unique hop flavor combo (I got a good kick of limey hops, plus a bit of herbal spice, maybe some pine -- real interesting) and enough malt to give it some body, while still remaining drinkable. Killer cans too.

Another beer courtesy of the captain of the canship, woodychandler. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Despite no agitation, this beer came gushing out at the crack, ending with a golden color, a 1 1/2 inch head, and a mess on my leg. Smell is of pine, some citrus. Taste is the same, piney hops, light citrus, no real malts to speak of. Feels medium/light in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.
