With a creamy body and rich roasty flavors, Scarlett is the perfect complement to the cooler months of Fall & Winter. This rye ale pours a deep red with a sticky off-white layer of foam and medium levels of carbonation. Note the aromas of fresh rye bread, caramel malt and earthy hops. Sweet malts are accented by subtle flavors of caramel, toffee, and chocolate. Notes of toasted grain, leather, and a mild peppery spice lead to a medium-dry finish.

Deep mahogany murky business here, nice foam/retention though. Nose is heavy on the rye + malt sweetness, with veins of chocolate and even a touch of dark fruit. Palate is similarly heavy on those notes. Drinkability suffers here under the weight of it all. I think something a little more measured would yield better results.

L: Darker red color with notes of orange in it, pours with a small thing white head that leaves rings of lacing around the glass.

S: Notes of toffee, caramel, chocolate, some raisins, and spice, and a little nut in the background.

T: Starts out with toffee, caramel, and chocolate, that gives away to notes of nut, some hops, and spice. Quite a bit of things going on here, that finishes with a caramel bitterness.

F: Medium body and creamy carbonation

O: Overall, this is a pretty average drinkable amber ale.

L: Dark cloudy brown, with a thick and lasting head.
S: Almost candy-like, flowery as well.
T: This might sound weird, but there's an almost coppery twinge to this beer at first. The bitterness is balanced well with the sweetness.
F: Coats the back of the mouth/throat, leaving a hint of bitter to linger after the flavor. Just enough fizziness to be refreshing.
O: Not Bad. Personally, this one isn't to my taste.

From an undated bottle. Love the artwork on this one. Pours a dark red color with a finger of tan head. Smells of roasted malts and rye. Medium mouthfeel, a good amount of carbonation. Taste is rich and malty with some notes of spice and chocolate. A nicely balanced rye beer.
