Alright. Tried two top notch milkshake IPA's this week, both on the orange creamsicle side of the field and I must say that they are impressively like drinking a cold melted orange creamsicle! I'd personally rather have the real thing than make it a beer but these are impressive liquid replicas. I liked this slightly more than Hop Butcher's Blazed Orange as it was less exactly like the frozen treat and had a bit more hop and carbonation to make it feel like I was actually drinking a beer. In the end I thought this was more like an orange cream soda which was fine by me.

Drank at the same time as Orange Blazed from Hop Butcher. Both in stemless teku style glasses.

This one pours hazy straw orange. Creamy white head.

Aroma bursts with sweet creamy orange, like a creamsicle.

Flavor is also very reminiscent of a creamsicle or orange cream soda. Smooth and sweet but not cloying or overpowering.

Moderate carbonation and creamy smooth body.

Really checks off a lot of the milkshake boxes while not going overboard. A nice brew that is very tasty.

Very tasty. Doesn’t try to do too much. Sometimes beers like this try to push the hop profile/presence at the same time they push the orange and vanilla flavors and it’s too much. This one is just right. Cloudy and foamy orange appearance. Smell is sweet vanilla and zesty orange. Taste is exactly as promised-orange dreamsicle all the way, a balance of orange and vanilla, the hops providing a nice base underneath the more prevalent flavors. Feel is light, creamy, slightly dry finish, very refreshing and easy drinking. Unlike some versions of creamsicle beer, this doesn’t come across as artificially flavored. Excellent effort for a new brewery.

Bright hazy yellowish orange body with a finger of white fluff. Candied orange, a ton of vanilla, grassy hops, a little lemon and some hints of grapefruit. Taste is very similar to blazed orange milkshake, only here it is softer and sweeter, hops don't finish as strong. It is a delicious dessert of an ipa. Body is airy, creamy, and fluffy, highly crushable. It's right there with BOM for me, depends what mood you are in, this being the more orange and vanilla forward of the two, delicious!

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on May 9, 2019. Brewed with Citra and Simcoe hops with orange and vanilla added. Let it take you back to the days of chasing the ice cream truck on hot summer days cooling off with a refreshing orange vanilla creamsicle.

Released 5/8/19; drank 5/9/19 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a nice eggshell head; a thick curtain of frothy lace.

Marshmallow, orange citrus, lemon zest & dry grass notes in the nose.

Creamy, medium mouthfeel.

Marshmallow, orange soda & lemon zest flavors up front; faint dry grass notes on the finish.

Flavorful & enjoyable, but the lemon zest notes were a bit odd! I'd have another...
