Another fan fave brewery from Lake Zurich -- something in the water? 1 pint can, canned on 5-11-22, poured into a tall Becher.

L -- Clear gold with a dense, off-white head that holds up well and leaves nice lacing.

S -- Light doughy malt, some light herbal hops.

T -- Light herbal hops up front, rather light bready malt back and bitter herbal hops in the finish & aftertaste. Peppery alcohol in the finish and aftertaste with warming and a touch of citrus and grain. Alcohol pepperiness becomes astringent and near-to harsh with warming.

F -- Mouthfeel is dry to crisp with a light to light-medium body.

O -- A rather lackluster Maibock with little malt character and a thin body to-style. The peppery alcohol makes me think there was some over-attenuation for ABV. While certainly drinkable, a little less-than satisfying as a Maibock.

Comes out a darker gold color with a little bit of white head in my Silver City Tropic Haze tall glass. Aroma is a classic maibock though a bit faint. Taste on the tongue is that refreshing balanced hit of hop and malt you want in a maibock. Lingers in the back corners of my mouth and tongue from the malts but not heavy. Bit of bubbles as a lager should. Overall a very solid and tasty maibock.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark, clear golden with a white foamy head. Malty aroma, biscuits. Big toasty malty flavor, full, crisp backend. Solid throughout.

Poured into a Celebrator pokal. Pours a medium, bright golden amber with a one finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of bready malt, light grassy hops and lemon; lightly spicy. Flavor follows with bready, grainy, lightly caramel malt, grassy and citrus hops, lemon rustic grainy finish with light citrus hop bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Very nice. The malt and general flavor and quite authentic, but the hops part ways with the traditional noble varieties to add some light citrus, mostly lemon notes. I found that choice to be a good one for the overall flavor. Although not strictly traditional, this was one of the better maibocks I've ever had. Nicely done.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 5/11/21, so 4 weeks old.

Looks nice enough. Crystal clear pale copper body with good carbonation. Small white head shrinks pretty quickly to a broken ring. Scattered spots of froth.

Light malty aroma.

On tasting, pretty much follows the nose, but there is more of a hop prescence later in the drink. This is a touch harsh.

Mouth a little under medium, finish that slightly off bitterness.

Overall, not quite doing it for me. A little thin and not quite smooth enough

Mostly clear copper orange with a white cap and light lacing. Caramel malts, moderate brown bread, and floral hop nose. Taste is too bitter with the hop presence, otherwise good toast and caramel from the malts, breadiness is nondescript yet omnipresent. Feel is springy and bright but overly hopped, a bit thin and doesn't have the maibock lush smoothness you want.

Had this on draft 5/16/21 @ the Brewery.

See though orange appearance.

Nice white head; frothy lace.

Caramel, fresh bread & faint corn notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

A nice mélange of caramel, fresh bread & faint corn, as the nose implies. Not as overly sweet as some maibocks; I liked this!
