I dearly miss the Celis brewery in Austin, Texas. I loved their white beer. This beer is the 'classic' of the 'white beer' style. Crisp, opaque, refreshing citrus notes, spicy. This style isn't for everyone, but on a warm day, it's a great brew to have

One of the best white beers i've tried, very sliky smooth with am appetizing, zingy, clovey, citrusy flavour, in the overall scheme of beer, theres not much of a muchness when it comes to the body and flavour, but its palate covering stuff, and has pretty easy drinkability, which makes it quite versitile in terms of session drinking and having it as a complimet to food.

Gone, gone, gone. Miller has brought infinite shame upon itself for shuttering the Celis Brewery. Last summer, there were rumors floating around that the Celis family was going to buy it back, but no further word on that. This beer was the absolute model for the Belgian wit style (Pierre Celis, after all, resuscitated the Hoegaarden Brewery before he sold it to Interbrew) and at under $6 a six-pack, it's the greatest bargain in all of beerdom. RIP.
