16oz can. No dating information found.
Clear brown colored body. Brief lasting beige colored head. Leaves behind a few short strings of lacing.
Aroma is malty, with notes of toffee and chocolate.
Taste has a sharp wheat attribute, with malt flavors of toffee and chocolate. Slightly sweet toward the end. Malt sweetness into the aftertaste.
Thinner mouth feel. Dry finish. Very good carbonation.
Close to some apple flavor from the toasted wheat malt.

Some misleading info going on tonight, BA’s. And with this one, the can says that it’s an Imperial Red Ale, where BA lists it as an American Dark Wheat Ale (a style in which Raul has never even heard of before). Anyway, like Raul always says: what does it matter what they call it if there is junk in the trunk? Question here is, does Dirty Hippie have an apple bottom? And the quick answer is no. No sir whatsoever. Straight up, Raul has never smelled a beer like this; it straight up smells like food. Like someone baked a lean cuisine and liquified it. So Raul isn’t into that. Taste? Not as bad as the smell, but Raul still ain’t pleased. To be honest, I can’t go on. This is pretty rank.
Peace!

16 oz. Can
Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice dark brown color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger light tan head, which leaves a nice medium size island, and some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, malty, hoppy, with a nice chocolate/toffee note, kinda grassy/yeasty. The taste is pretty nice, malty, hoppy, with a pretty nice chocolate/toffee note, kinda grassy/wheaty/yeasty. Medium body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a tasty brew.

22oz bottle served in a large mug. Stopped pouring when I saw large amounts of sediment flowing, so I definitely got some in my glass. I don't see a date on the bottle right now. Bought at Jane's in Sunnyvale, flown home in my suitcase.
Pours a murky reddish brown with a smallish white head and lots of carbonation. Smell is old hay, caramel, a little nutty.
Taste is old hay -- tastes like old hops. I wish there was a date on the bottle. Musty, nutty, very slight toffee.
Mouthfeel is thick but not too sticky. Overall, not bad, but not that good.
