I will give this a 5 stars all the way. I found this beer by accident while shopping at Trader Joe and seeing an old man picking one up without any hesitation from the shelf and walked away with it, and after seeing the price tag of $1.99, I also picked one myself. Boy, it's so Gooooooooooooooooooooood!! okay. Here are the details. The slight hoppiness or bitterness is very well balanced with slightly sweet after taste, which makes this beer super smooth and easy to drink. Also the after taste doesn't last very long, which means this beer is good for any meals except ice cream or cake in my opinion. The smell of this beer is fruity, malty, and all natural. Baby, it also gives you a good head, tiny bubble foams that last for a minute or so, and it has nice lacing too. Last but not least, 5.7% ABV. One bottle will get you high!! Great value, great taste, highly recommended.

Picked this up at trader Joe's for $2.75 and it was well worth the price.

Just an overall well rounded and easy drinking brown ale. A nice savory nuttiness upfront followed by a malty and slightly creamy mid palate that finishes with a delicate hop bite.

I gotta give this beer extra points on the feel since it's so smooth.

Nothing to go crazy for - but just an all around approachable, highly chugable, cheap brown ale made without adjuncts.

L- Very dark amber with a creamy tan head with medium retention.
S- Toasted grains, fairly sweet caramel at the end.
T- Flat, burnt brown bread, a slight sweet touch. Not very enjoyable.
F- Medium.
O- I hardly got through all of it, the flavor is off putting.

22 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Dark brown color and toasty aromas. A better brown ale than I expected, especially for the price. Well balanced with the bready, malt flavors.

A: [4.50] Huge 2+ finger head of uniform tiny off white bubbles. Really impressive head formation. Covers a beer that is brown but with lots of red hues when held to the light. The head leaves lots of nice lacing all over the place. The bottle lists the ABV at (5.7%). There is also a born on date (06/11/15).

S: [3.50] Dark caramel, rum, brown sugar.

T: [2.75] Brown bread. Toasted almonds. Not a lot in the way of sweetness.

M: [3.00] Decent body and carbonation. Has a bit of a chalky finish.

O: [3.00] The pour on this was great looking. Then things went down hill. The nose was fair with some muted sweet scents. The taste had none of that sweetness and there was even a bit of a chalky finish. Brown ales is a current area of exploration for me - but this was not a hit.
