A refreshing and balanced beer in body and aroma, ideal to drink at any time of the day. It stands out for its pale yellow and its foam of fine, white, bright bubbles.
Its slogan, Malaga and exquisite, defines the soul of this beer: proud to be Malaga and carefully brewed with the traditional slow maturation process. Its storage process, with a minimum of 12 days, ensures its exquisite flavor.

A suitable lager for lunch and, if it were summer, refreshment. Bought at a Carrefour Express for .67 Euro, this was a value no matter what the rating. And actually, Victoria made my crummy lunch of leftovers better.
Victoria Looks average for its style, an OK foam and lace on a blond bod. My nose Smells mostly malt faintly; possibly an adjunct in there. Tastes are balanced, hops strengthen as I drink and are prominent in the finish; but never overpower the food mish-mash. Almost medium-mouthed. Crisp. Victoria calls this a pilsner and I'd go along with that.
Victoria gives a picture of brewing in Spain's far south for the last century. If that doesn't particularly interest me or you, then at least they have an English button on their website. Also adding to the Overall Hugs I give them is the traditional packaging.

330 ml can, as Victoria Malaga, from Diana Supermercado, Estepona. ABV is 4.8%. Golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma, malts and grass. Medium dry flavour, sharpish herbal hops in the finish.

Notes via stream of consciousness: This is one of the clearest supermarket beers that I’ve come across recently. It’s golden beneath a finger’s width of white foam. The head retention is better than average but it remains to be seen as to how the lacing is. There’s not much to the aroma beyond a generic “beer” aroma but it’s clean. The flavor follows and it seems like an adjunct beer to me. Ah, yes, the label lists rice as the third ingredient, and real hops (not extract). It remains clean, and the brewery is proud to state that it’s lagered for a minimum of 12 days. The malt is sweet but balanced by 23 IBUs and a light touch of floral and herbal hops. In the mouth it’s medium bodied, gently crisp, and then smooth across the palate. The brewery has historically used the image of a man wiping the sweat from his brow and I can certainly see how this would be great served cold on a hot day; sometimes less is more. I can’t buy a beer of this quality at this price where I live but if I could I would for those occasions when you don’t need something very interesting, just something refreshing. I would be remiss if I failed to mention that the lacing was actually very good.

25cl brown glass bottle. Generic euro macro lager. Pale gold, lightly malty and sweet. Not at all crisp. Mouthfeel is buttery. However, it does the job on a 37C September afternoon in Seville. Has to be consumed outside and drunk absolutely as cold as possible. Extra marks for decent head retention and lacing.
