This place isn't amazing for beer (plenty of wine), but it is surprisingly decent. Stopped here a couple time while staying nearby as part of an East Coast trip in September of 2016.

The vibe is very much liquor store. Nothing unusual, surprising, or otherwise anything but ordinary. The bulk of the store is wine, some spirits, with a cooler for beer starting to the right of the counter and moving to the back. It's plenty of the usual, understandable if one wants to stay in business, but the overall selection is pretty quality. Nothing crazy or unusual but plenty of the craft standards and some standouts, though typical on most shelves, as well. The service is what it is. Nobody goes out of his or her way to help, but nobody is rude, either.

Have driven by this place for years on trips up and down Rt. 10, but there were always closer stores to buy from. But since I've been going to their bigger outlet on the east side of town because of their great craft selection and easy bottle deposit refund arrangement, I thought I should check this one out.

Medium sized liquor store, beer in coolers and in a large alcove in back. A fraction of the selection of Super Phipps due to limited display space (about 20% of what the big store has), but they make the most of it. Much of the same better selection as their super store, same prices. However I got the impression that you are at least a little more likely to find the latest in-demand craft releases at the super store.

No help offered but this is a busy store on a main road, much visited by locals, so if you need help you might find it easier to obtain at slower times such as on weekdays before 5 PM.

I work in Westfield now, so I wanted to check this place out. A somewhat small place; wine and liquors are to the left and back and beers are to the right and in the freezers. Displays were mostly typical six packs or 30 racks. The initial freezers also represented this. I turned around the corner to the right to see about 5-6 freezers with more of a micro-brew focus. However, it really did not focus on too much micro stuff (locals like Opa-Opa, Paper City and BBC are well represented). As for imports, I really did not see any at all. Somewhat of a bummer.

Prices were good however; inexpensive especially for the college town Westfield is. Service was just represented by a very young man at the cash register, so I am not sure about the quality. Overall, not too bad of a place but wish they had more imports.

My second choice after Town and Country in West Springfield. Located in a converted bowling alley, Mr Phipps stocks most of the items I want to try based on BA info. Selection is wide and varied from local (Paper City) to West Coast (Anchor/Sierra Nevada) and everything in between. Excellent selection of Imports, especially UK offerings. If you're in the area, definitely check it out.
