bayside liquors is up and coming. they used to have only a few brands in a scattled and empty looking store. now the store is well organized and well stocked. granted, most of the store is taken by wine and a good liquor selection (a lot of higher end stuff)... they have added some nice looking shelves for beer and have some pint glasses available and t-shirts coming.

the selection isn't too wide. macro crap, maine beers and some from away. i don't recall seeing too many, if any, 750's. there are some warm and many in coolers, which is nice.

i see this store going the right direction and hope to see good things from them.

This is a very small store just off the main street that you can actually enter through a small alley shop area just off Cottage.

It's very clean and tidy but there is only a limited selection here to partake of. THere is a small un-refrigerated section that will contain some foreign bottles. Then there are two coolers which will contain a variety of items including some typical local six packs, Gritty's, Shipyard etc...

However towards the first door is a selection of some bombers and local craft Maine beer. It's on this shelf you will find plenty of Sebago, Atlantic Brewing, Bar Harbor, and a good chance you will be able to grab some Cadillac Mountain, and also find some Brother Adams' Braggot Ale.

Staff behind the counter is cordial and quaint, very nice and without any pretention. Bar Harbor in the summer caters to many out of state tourists and prices here are a little higher depending on what you're getting. A Sebago Blueberry was 4.49 which is totally reasonable, but some of the other bombers easily went up in prices to the 10 dollar range. This is no big deal for me from where I am from, but for Maine it's a little bit pricey.

Not a big store but stocks some of the best of Maine breweries and certainly the best of the three breweries from Mount Desert Island. Everything from Bar Harbor Brewing Company is available (including lots of bombers of Cadillac Mountain Stout). Every variety of Atlantic Brewing and Maine Coast Brewing is available as well. Scattered varieites of other Maine brews as well as a limited selection of imports.

Service is knowledgable and helpful. Prices are a bit high being in a heavy tourist area but you can forgive it given the breadth of their selection. Everything is practically brewery fresh.
