Appearance: Pours a completely clear, medium golden color with a moderate white head. SRM of 7. (3.75)

Aroma: Mild aromas of pale malts and buttered biscuit malt, followed by a light yeast. (3.75)

Flavor: Moderate flavors of pale malts, biscuit malt, buttered biscuit malt. Some yeast before a lightly buttered biscuit malt finish. Minimal hop presence. (3.75)

Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Smooth and soft. (3.75)

Compared to Pilsner Urquell 6/21/22: Pours a lighter color. Similar aromas. More biscuit malt. Less buttered bread, but still slightly buttery. Less hoppy and more light and smooth.

Overall: A pretty nice version of a Czech-style pilsner here. This one has some nice pale and biscuit malts. Light, but present buttery notes. Minimal to no hops detected. Lightly buttered biscuits. A soft, smooth finish. Very light and drinkable, but some nice malt flavors.

Drunk during my trip to Silao (Guanajuato). Usual Mexican bottle.
Look: Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head as usual in México.
Smell: Malt , bread, floral hop notes.
Taste: grainy malts & hop bite are well balanced.
Feel: Medium-bodied, medium-carbonation, crisp feel.
Overall: I like it. One of the best in México.

Poured from a 12oz bottle, best by Dec 2022

On the pour a 2 finger head forms made up of a mix of fine and larger bubbles, doesn't stick around however, and dissipates to a cluster of bubbles and a ring around the glass. Color is light, golden straw, with very lively carbonation. Somehow has vague lacing?

Aroma is of oxidized hops, no skunk however. Some citrus notes, and quite crisp overall. A slight crackery malt intertwined with a very mild lager yeast. A bit of tang to it.

Flavor follows the nose but with some improvements. Definitely a pilsner with a hop bitterness upfront, with slight citrus as well coming from the hops that leads to a nice clean crackery malt, with only a hint of cornices. Some odd Metallic flavor gets caught in the middle of it all however.

Feel is solid. Not watery by any means and has a good drinkability and smoothness following the bitterness and co2 bite. Not a heavy beer, but certainly not a light beer either, much more substance than most Mexican macros.

Overall a step up from other cuauhtemoc beers for the most part, and recognizable as a pilsner. Still recognizable as a macro however and not the highest quality but still detectably hoppy nonetheless.

We were like, Bohemia? Mexico? Thought it’s kind of rare to have a Pilsner made in Mexico and not a Cerveza. I think it even said it uses Czech (Saaz) hops for that real Czech feel.
Now although I did not particularly find the Czech tone in there, I did appreciate the extra hoppiness and the character in there. It was like having taken the Cerveza to the next level.
It didn’t blow my mind though but I did not even expect it to. It was good to have this for a change.

Draft at bar in Mazatlan
Creamy dense head with good retention, soapy lacing, clear pale color

Nose hint of skunky sulfur like character, light cereal malt, minerals, not much else

Taste light grainy malt, pilsner cereal like, hint of that sulfur but not really skunky, mineral water, hint of grassy bitter hop

Mouth is med to lighter bod, lighter carb, a bit soft

I've loved this beer for decades! But it's gotten harder to find! The distributor needs to market it more strongly.

This is a pretty good mexican pilsner, superior to most american ones. Lot's of breadiness with a nice hop freshness as well. A great daily refresher.

Out of a bottle and into a plastic cup at LACMA, Los Angeles, CA.

This one was surprising like watching a Kardashian recite the ABC’s correctly. Yeah, it’s pretty solid like getting a parent to take you to Golden spoon you were a tot. Ok, I’ll see you.

Bohemia Clara Pilsner pours a very clear, golden color with a glorious foamy white head.  It has a medium body and goes down quite smooth. This nose is bread like with floral & grassy tones. It has a very lightly sweet backbone that gives way to a mild bitter finish.  Clean lager profile. Crisp, clean finish. One of the better Mexican lagers available.

I believe the style classification is incorrect. Per the brewery info, "inspired by the gorgeous region by the same name in the Czech Republic". Additionally, I believe the Clara and Clasica are the same Bohemian Pilsner.

I want to have more of this next time I'm at Casa Vallarta, I definitely liked it but others have led me to believe it's the hidden gem amongst Modelo and Dos Equis. I enjoy the Mexican style lager a lot with food though. These beers are for fun times and good food nothing more

L: Pours a clear gold color with a thin white head.
S: Sweet malt grains, bready, floral hop notes.
T: Follows the nose, the grainy malts & hop bite are perfectly balanced.
F: Medium-bodied, medium-carbonation, crisp feel.
O: A damn good beer for it's style, cheers!

Pours golden 4 finger white head into pilsner urquell .5l mug. Slight floral nose, biscuit malt. Great lacing. Taste follows the nose, slightest addition of adjunct combines with biscuits, slight balanced hoppy finish. Good beer, would recommend.

Nice and dark, golden straw in Color with a great 1" foamy head. Hoppy nose, nice biscuity, hoppy taste. Slight adjunct and hoppy finish but the adjuncts aren't offensive. Slick mouthfeel. Overall a nice example of a Pilsner. At $8 a 6- pack I will be buying this again and again.

I did not think was as good as the overall average rating, sorry. It is an okay Pilsner but there is something about the way the hops finish that just does not appeal to me. It is not a bad beer, but I cannot rate it very high. All that being said, I recommend you give it a go if you like this particular style.

Bottle. White head with a bit of lace. Clear golden yellow.

Bready and biscuity malts. A bit more body than most pilsners. Not as crisp, clean, and refreshing as I’d like. Has some earthy hops to it, but light.

Drank 02.17.20 on the beach at Puerto Escondido, Mexico. Poured with a nice white head, great lacing. Light and refreshing. Nice rather full mouthfeel for a Pilsner. Taste - bready and sweet. Really enjoyed this. Worth seeking out after a day on the beach.

This is a beer for the non-beer drinker. In fact, it is a beer for a tea or kombucha drinker. It is inoffensive, crisp, pleasantly carbonated with forward notes of rose. As a fan of ale, I enjoyed it immensely.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
Appearance - The beer pours s clear amber color with a small white head. The head fades fast leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell -The aroma is light, consisting of a little bit grain and caramel.
Taste- The taste begins with a slightly grainy taste mixed with a touch of caramel. As the taste advances some very light herbal flavor comes to the tongue and leaves one with a crisp and clean taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is light and crisp with a medium to high carbonation. The feel is great for the tastes and makes for a easy drinker.
Overall - A easygoing brew with a decent flavor. Nothing exceptional, but for a lighter Mexican brew not bad.
