Pours a light yellow color, nice carbonation, small white head, with some sticky lacing left behind. The nose is malty, with some hops, slight caramel. The taste is slightly sweet, malty, slight hop note. Light body. Not drinkable, would not buy again.

straw golden, short lasting white head, no lacing.

aroma and flavor = grainy with plenty of DMS... light hoppiness is way background... a bit of bitterness up front.

still pretty drinkable... Doubt I would buy again except when drinking with work buddies and making fajitas (again).

12 oz. bottle,

A: Pours a lightly hazy yellow with a medium white head, fair retention.

S: Pale malt and noble hops, nothing substantial.

T: Bready malt in the background, with a rather strong grassy hop bitterness. I like the strong hop character, and I was surprised how much I liked it the first time I had it.

M: Crisp and smooth, with a bit of biting carbonation, relatively light-bodied.

D: Quite a good Mexican beer at a Mexican restaurant, would defintely have again if I was in that situation.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a small head. Smell is of malts, somewhat sweet. Taste is also sweet, malts with some hops, rather refreshing. Feels light in the mouth and has good drinkability. Overall this is a fairly decent brew.

Poured a light straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.

The smell featured a grassy and spicy hop with a light grainy malt.

The taste consisted of a clean malt and a surprisingly lively hop.

The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style with good carbonation.

Overall a very tasty and hoppy lager. Likely the best offering from south of the border.

This pours an honest clear gold lager. It looks like it should come from Checkoslovakia.

Smell is sweetness, grain and a spicy hop smell. The hops are unmistakably citrus in scent.

Taste is excellent clean grain with a spicy citrus hop flavor. This is one tasty lager! Excellent melding of the citrus hops with the rest of the brew.

Mouthfeel is good.

Super drinkable brew, sad that I avoided tasting this for a long time just because it is a Mexican beer.

Pours with a two-finger white head that leaves a some lace. Clear pale amber color. Light bodied and light carbonation. Slightly hoppy nose. Starts slightly on the sweet side and the finish is clean, with no lingering aftertaste. Good session beer. $1.30 for a 12oz. bottle from Liquor Barn, Lexington, KY.

From the foil topped 12 fl. oz. bottle . Sampled on February 19, 2013

The pour is pale yellow with a short-lived fizzy white head.

The aroma is of pale German malts, sugar, toast, and a cleanish hop scent.

The body is light to medium and is also rather creamy.

The taste begins with moderate malts and a low to moderate hop bitterness that lingers briefly at the end. I found it to be pretty decent for the style.

Bottles purchased at Beers of the World for my Day of the Dead party. Drank directly from the bottle.

Poured a little out later to get an idea of the appearance- it's pale yellow, typical adjunct lager look. Pretty fizzy. Can't get much of a read on head or lacing.

Smells like sweet grainy malt, grass, and a bit of pine.

Unexpectedly great taste here. The hops impart a peppery, piney pite, which is buffeted by strong carbonation. Sweet grainy malts as well, that are kept in check by the grassy hop bite. Not much lingering bitterness. Dry finish.

Light bodied, well carbonated, very refreshing.

The best Mexican cheap lager out there for sure. Would pair incredibly well with Mexican food.

A: Poured a clear, pale straw color with a fluffy white quickly dissipating head. Visibly there was no lacing and an aggressive amount of carbonation.

S: some buttery toffee notes, a touch of stale cereal grains, as well a slight skunkiness.

T: The flavor was very sweet, light and fruity with fresh apples, pears, light bread notes and a apple juice like palate. Upon warming there were some hay and herbal notes present. The beer finishes with a fruity sweetness, some nice buttery grain notes, and a citrusy hopping. This beer had a very interesting grain bill which made it hard for me to figure if I really liked it or not. It was sweet yet had a clean flavor and was interesting. Overall the beer had a sweet, crisp palate, interesting flavor that was unique and drank really smooth.

M: The mouthful was light and slick with some spicy hops coming through along with some fizziness from the carbonation.

D: This would make for a great beach type beer and was moderately good.

At Cafe de Artiste in PVR.

A: The pilsner is a crisp clear color, straw yellow and clear as day. The beer almost glows. A small head, no more than a half a finger, sat contentedly atop the glass.

S: The nose has a crisp hoppiness and ample malt base. The hops, earthy, contributed a fruity presence.

T: The hoppiness of the pils stands out, from the first sip to the last. The aforementioned fruitiness, a taste that I'd call green apple (and seemingly more appropriate for a Belgian pale ale) stands out. The pils base is bready but light, agile enough to stay out of the way of the hops. An enjoyable beer.

M: The pils isn't afraid of its hoppy side. Good thing, because the earthy citrus flavors really stand out throughout the entire beer.

D: The highlight of the night, a clean pils that doesn't shy away from the hops.

12oz bottle

A- Pours a clear golden yellow with a white head that quickly disappears.

S- The aroma is very faint grain and not much else.

T- The taste like the aroma is very pale malts with a dry finish. Not a whole lot of flavor, and the flavor that is there is nothing to write home about.

M- The mouthfeel is light bodied and heavily carbonated.

D- it would probably be pretty easy to throw back a few of these after a long day but I don't know I'd want to. I'm just not very impressed with this brew.

Poured from 12oz bottle(room temp) a yellow gold with a large head of foam that dissipated fairly quickly leaving a fine layer and some lacing on the side of my glass.

The smell is malty sweet with a slight bitter note.

The taste is a good mix of slightly sweet malt and slightly bitter hop..good balance, in fact, and that makes it a good drinker.

Bottom line: A good Vienna Lager that's worth trying and even buying from time to time.

355ml bottle poured into pint glass 28/8/12

A has more color then I expected, golden yellow, lots of tiny bubbles and a short lived finger of foam leaves no lace

S cooked veggies, grass and hay with a little corny malt

T some faint noble hops to go with what I smell, nothing special but much better then the other Mexican beers I had this week

M well carbonated and a little thin about what I expected, fairly clean finish

O a nice surprise that I found a un-skunked beer here in PV, drinkable for sure

perhaps its all the crap I´ve been drinking in Mexico but this one was almost good.

L: Pours brilliant golden straw with a 1” rapidly dissipating white foam collar. Leaves splotchy lace.
S: Light grains, no appreciable hop, faint bread crust.
T: Fairly dry, some light malt flavor, faint fruit.
F: Crisp, highly carbonated, light.
O: Very easy to drink but not a lot that stands out.

A-Pours a lightly hazy straw yellow color. Head is bleached and about a quarter inch in height. Head, although small, does retain quite well. Light lacing. Armies of bubbles rise to fuel the head.

S-A bit skunky. Moderate Noble hop grassiness. Also a subtle cracker and corny graininess. Actually smells more legit than I expected it to be. Brings enough to the table.

T-The hops are clean and the skunk is muted to a certain extent. Subtle cracker/dough combination. Lightly spicy on the finish. The hoppiness is pronounced to a very respectable degree (especially for a Mexican import). Flavors work well together.

M-Light bodied with a spritzy carbonation level. Quite drinkable. Mild hop-induced bitterness. Crisp and clean. Barely any metallic flavor.

O/D-Better than expected. Blows other Mexi-brews away. Still, far from anything I would by again (as I only purchased a single). But hey, turns out it was worth trying.

A: When poured from a bottle to a mug, this beer had a bright yellow color and a totally clear texture. Very little head or lacing.

S: Not a whole lot of smell; some hops, a little malt and a bit of fruit.

T: There's an odd quality to this beer, but it's not very interesting. It has bitter hops, malt and some citrus, but it's really very thin.

M: A below average amount of carbonation and a dry finish.

D: I'm still searching for a good beer from a Latin American country. This isn't one of them. It's a pretty ordinary brew all around.

Clear straw color with a subdued off-white head, decent carbonation, and decent lace. Light grainy malt aroma and flavor with light fruitiness. Medium bodied, creamy and smooth.

Not a Vienna Lager but a darn good Mexican beer ... more like a Helles and a good one at that.

One of the better Mexican beers out there. Nothing unique or falling short appearance or aroma wise. Standards.

Taste is a pleasant surprise, nuanced pilsner flavor, zippy, with some different things going on I can't put my finger on, but its far more complex/involved than the majority of pilsners, especially from this neck of the woods.

Whatever the complexities, they play nice throughout the bottle. Amounts to good drinkability. This is a favorite with Mexican food, along with Negra Modelo.

I drank this from a bottle in Puerto Vallarta.

The beer is very clear and light gold, but it has a nice think and lasting white head.

Unlike any mexican beer I've ever had this actually some an aroma to it. There are some nice hops like a true pilsner.

The taste is light and hoppy with wheat, nothing special but not bad.

Mouthfeel is nice but light, and this is drinkable.

I'd never have this to have it in US, but I would recommend searching this out in Mexico.

Pours a clear gold, the head white, minimal, the lace is adequate. Nose is malt, clean and crisp. Front is malt, lightly sweet, top is light, the finish is quite acidic, dry, and nicely hopped. The second beer I had in Warez, Mexico, on my first weekend at my new posting to Fort Bliss. Ranks #937 on my current 1000 beer master list.

A: Pours a dull straw yellow color. A small bubbly white head forms and leaves little lace.
S: Grain and cereal. Husky with a little hop bit toward the end.
T: Very nice. Lots of bready and cereal malt that is a little sweet. The hop character is none to small either. Citrus and piney flavors.
M/D: A light body that is crisp and clean. Very easy and smooth to drink. I sessioned this with no problem.

This is a very good Mexican Lager. Blows almost everything else I have had from that country away as far as beer goes.

Had this at a Mexican restaurant in Kittery. Pale yellow color with a very small head. Poured the second bottle more aggressively, still a small head. Little aroma, some sweet corn. The taste was faint malt with a tiny hops presence. Thin mouthfeel. It did, however, pair well with my enchiladas verde.

fizzy yellow beer, but the smell is suprisingly hoppy (albeit nothing else), spicy and a touch floral.
Taste is super clean, which I don't fault as it's is presumably what the brewer was going for. Mainly a corn sugar sweetness.
Mouthfeel is like water, but not the same as watery/flat/thin.
Drinkability was pretty high, cause it's like sugar water with a touch of booze, very neutral. Washed down a big ol' burrito like nobody's business.
