i dont know why. but the first life changing beer that i tasted was my dad's dos equis ordered at a mexican restaurant. its probably not that good as i remember it, but for some reason the powers that be decided that this specific beer would change my view on beer forever.

Can't decide if this is better, or worse than Corona. Not nearly as skunky, but not great on taste either. Simple clear staw colored beer with some hints of citrus on the nostrils, but other that it has a light aroma. Tastes pretty plain. It's honestly a boring beer. Not disgusting, but outside of it being provided to me at a party or something I have no real desire to drink it. Adding lime is a good choice, and I suppose it would make a good summer beach beer, but you obviously could better. It's not as watery as say Bud Light, but still not what you could call a tasty beer.

Clear gold, with 3/8" white head.
Smell is .....still waiting......still waiting...... light sweet grain, maybe a hint of fresh corn. Maybe. The aroma is pleasant, but difficult to detect.
Taste is similar to aroma , that is, barely there , slightly sweet grain, plus a hint of citrus rind (lemon), finishing with a slight corn meal flavor, that lingers....no, that's too refined for this.....sits there..... for a couple of seconds. Light bitterness. It doesn't have much taste, but it has no unpleasant flavors, so I'll bump it up .5 for that.
Feel is light, smooth, with moderate, very fine carbonation, that gives a drying finish. Said finish is pleasant, until the last instant, where it goes a half-step too far, and borders upon licking cardboard. Doesn't go all the way there though, so is well ahead of most of its brethren in this corner of beerdom. Points! ;P
I don't always drink Dos Equis, but when I do I hardly notice. ;)
Really , I've had this maybe three times previously, but not in at least fifteen years, and had no memory of the experience(s), other than it happened. It is much better than I expected. Nothing much to recommend it, but nothing awful either. It's liquid, it's cold, and it's carbonated. If that's all you need at a given moment, and there are no GOOD options, this will do. *shrug*

I don't always go out of my way to write a bad review, but when I do I write it about this crap in a bottle. This beer is disgusting no wonder their citizens flee the country, they want better beer! Cerveza es muy buneo Norde! I would not wash my dirty feet with this garbage. This is as bad as corona.

Look: Light golden straw coloured. Fingers worth of soapy frothy head. Lots of carbonation. About standard for a Mexican/North American lager. Fully filtered
Smell: Corn, bit of grain. No hops or bitterness to speak of, nothing that really stands out. Smells like an typical north American adjunct lager.
Taste: Sweetness from the malts, corn, grain, not a lot else going on. No bitterness at all, quite bland.
Feel: Light, refreshing and smooth. It's quite drinkable for a hot day to quench a thirst.
Overall: As an easy sipper, post lawn mowing beer, it does the job. You're not expecting to get much from these mass produced, globally found Mexican lagers like Dos Equis, Sol and Corona. I find it to be slightly better than the aforementioned too, only beating Corona as it's overpriced for what you're getting.

Appearance - Pours a very light transparent gold. The one-finger thin white head quickly dissipates.
Smell - Notes of grain, bread, and not much else. Light on the aromas.
Taste - There is a single note of fermented barnyard hay. The aftertaste is mild bitterness that quickly disappears but the tingling carbonation lasts a while. It resembles light beer. Very easy to put down but not much flavor.
Mouthfeel - Thin, very thin and watery. A complete letdown.
Overall - I drink this often because my wife likes it so it is always in the refrigerator. I don't hate it but it is a very light, one-note beer. On a hot day, it goes down easy like water but leaves me wanting far more. If it were cheap, I would not be as harsh on it. Truthfully, this is a beer for folks who don't really like beer.

Brewed in Nava, Mexico, it is the better of Mexican beers. This beer pairs well with salt and lime of course. Watery mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Without salt and lime, it is nothing special, almost uninspiring. Taste is bready with maize and a slightly sweet hay, with a tiny bit of a earthy dirt on the first few sips. Its a beer that goes down easily on a hot day. But when you add lime and salt, it really comes “alive” and is easily tolerated.
Again, nothing special, but it pairs well with spicy food and it a good compliment to a variety of Mexican dishes. It is a staple on the border towns and readily available. I cant say anything particularly good about it, but i also cannot say anything terrible about it either.

Well, I've had this before and never gave it too much of another thought. I mean, it's pretty smooth and unpretentious and sorta bland, which sometimes may fit the bill. Of the 2 XX's available, I prefer the 2 XX AMBER. The special lager ain't so special, but is drinkable when the thirst's there.

Rerate, 330 ml green bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. The aroma has maize and some fruit, not unpleasant. The flavour is (well, what flavour?) not offensive, at least when the beer is ice cold. Some "freshness" made it quite drinkable with pizza, and if that is your only ambition, it should work well. The beer enthusiast will of course look for more flavourful beers.
