Pours a straw-gold color with a thin one-finger head into my pint glass.

Aroma is full of corn and sweet malt upfront. Typical setup for the style.

Taste is overly sweet and full of corn and grainy malt. Like a stale loaf of bread. Still quite easy to drink.

Corn and grain linger in the mouthfeel. Feels pretty average but still inoffensive. Goes down easy like water.

Average. You won't be too impressed with this but if you like your beers to be easy to drink and hardly special, then this is for you. Otherwise, I'd avoid it.

Ve4ry refreshing beer and it does taste better than corona as a matter afact it dosn't need a lime. It does have a little corny taste to it but it has more subsatnce and body than corona thats why its better evn though im not saying i would buy this beer. I wouldn't ever.

Serve and drink by the poolside/seeside in Cancun Mexico when I was in vacation.
Really not the first time a drink this beer, but first time in draugh...
Drank MANY time during the week and I found nothing very special about this beer, except is great drinkability. Sun and warmth helps a bit in these cases. Neverless, Few glasses of this beer each afternoon was really appreciated.
Overall comment, great for the sun, by the pool or at the see, but not a beer that I will seek for at home. Really common major brew.
From now on, this beer will reminds me the Cacun sun and the great time I had. At least it's that!

P- Pittsburgh friend--thanks Ray

A- a light clear urine yellow color with lil or no head.

S- grain, wheat, corn, typical macro American lager smell

T- grain and corn. nothing special in the flavor. Sweet though.

M- smooth and crisp

D- easy to throw back and something i would have for dinner in a restaurant if nothing else special was on tap. Higher than the bmc beers in my book but lower than sam adams

Pours a clear, typical adjunct lager color with a tiny head that goes away quicky. Smells like your normal skunky "green bottle" beer with hints of grain and corn. Tastes, again, like an average lager. Malts and hops are very, very minimal. Also has the thinnest taste of corn. Much more carbonated than it looks. Feels like an MBC beer in the mouth. This would be a completely average session beer if nothing else is around. All in all, it's better than corona and your typical mexican beers, but not by much.

Poured bottle into pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a pale golden color that is perfectly clear. Had no head even with a fairly vigorous pour.

Smell: Has a bit of a spice in the smell that while isn't repulsive, isn't exactly inviting either.

Taste: On the whole, this is a little bland. It tastes almost watered down, although it does have a fair hop kick in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Pretty thin. The carbonation gives in a little texture in the mouth, but not much.

Drinkability: It's okay. It's not the worst thing ever, but there are better beers: in general, and in the particular style.

The head was small and irregular but the lacing wasn't too bad. Except for a slightly skunky pungency, the aroma of Dos Equis was similar to most other mass produced lagers ~ sweet corn mingled with a touch of bitterness; I thought I could detect a minute suggestion of citrus balanced (in a very small dose, mind you) with a very small hint of honey. Average. The taste was bland, watery and pretty much tasteless. On the palate Dos Equis was thin and didn't feature much of an aftertaste. Very dull and unexciting stuff.

Looking to get a cheap buzz, I bought a 24oz of Dos Equis, having never had it before. Well, here we go... I'll just skip the appearance since I had it straight from the can.

Smell: Don't ask me what I mean, because I'm not sure -- but it smells Mexican. Has a bit of spice/twang to it that I don't usually get out of adjuncts. Interesting to be sure, but not very inviting.

Taste/feel: The initial taste I actually quite like, as it's an adjunct flavor with a bit of pepper or something. The finish on this one (maybe because it's a can) is EXTREMELY metallic. If it weren't for that metallic/copper/blood taste that I'm getting, this could be a surprisingly tasty adjunct. That after taste pretty much ruins it for me though... which is a shame. The carbonation is medium/high, as well.

Overall, this trumps the Natty Daddy that I just had ... no contest. Natty had a bizarre sweetness to it, but Dos Equis is actually a decent adjunct lager. In comparison to Budweiser or Coors, I like it quite a bit more, as it doesn't have that extremely skunky corn aroma or flavor. Quite carbonated and lacking flavor (that DAMN metallic taste...), but still a decent choice if you want to get a buzz.

A - Golden beer with a 1/4" head that disappears immediately. Some good lacing.

S - Very lackluster. Almost no aroma. A little faint sweetness.

T - Sweet. Apple juice-like.

M - Thin bodied with high carbonation.

D - Decent drinkability if you are looking to wash some nasty nachos down at the cheesy hotel happy hour on the beach, other than that, I can't recommend this.

The beer-hating husband asked me to pick up a six pack for him, and I was so impressed that he asked for a beer that I decided to review it. I've actually never had a Dos Equis before.

A: Pale yellow in color, like a Corona or American adjunct. There was a smattering of white foam that vanished right before my eyes.

S: Corn sweetness, with a hint of yeast.

T: More corn, corn syrup sweetness, rice, and a bit of bready yeast. Some of the other reviewers of this beverage claim to detect hops, but I guess my palate isn't refined enough because I can't find them.

M: Bubbly and cold, like 7-up mixed with lager.

D: I downed about half a glass, then dug into the fridge to add a twist of the traditional lime wedge. It definitely improved the flavor significantly, but now I feel kind of dirty inside.

I can't believe this cost me $.50 more than 6-pack of SA Boston Lager, and almost $2.00 more than the Deschutes Inversion! They must really be on to something with that marketing campaign.

Had this on tap (with a lime wedge) at a Mexican restaurant with dinner. Very light golden color, little to no head. Mild hop aroma with a similar taste. Light bodied, not very carbonated, easy to drink. Obviously a far cry from good craft beer, but comparing with the likes of Bud Light, Coors Light, etc this ain't too bad.

Pale, crystal clear appearance. This beer has the tone of white grapefruit juice. Maybe just a little darker. No head. A slight dirty white collar. Appearance is lacking. Light grainy malts and hay on the nose. Maybe a titch of floral hop aroma. Mouthfeel is more carbonated than it looks. Malts are grainy and corny on the buds. Just a little bit of an astringent bitterness. A little metallic character comes into play in the aftertaste. Not my cup of tea, but I've had worse.

Typical pale gold with little head. Malt overdoes the grain in the nose and has a pinch of hop. Taste goes downhill from the aromas and is just selztery. Flavors start off decent but then plummet into nothingness pretty quickly. Mouthfeel is thin and spritzy. I can down this alright.
