** Fairly light borderline too weak. It almost comes back to "not too weak" after a few drinks but then still leaves you wanting something more. Good bit of carbonation. Light to mid range amber typical lager color. Nothing to "write home about".

Of all the Mexican beers out there, this one is in my opinion, is the worst.......but a little better than your basic American adjunct. The commercial used to be funny. The new guy does not compare with the original.

Clear pale gold in color. Smells of corn adjuncts and bread. Corn and bread on the palate as well. Low carbonation and watery mouthfeel. It's not terrible but it's not good.

Look- Pale gold with a finger of bubbly white head.

Aroma- Sweet corn, white bread, no noticeable hops.

Taste- Like the aroma, dominated by cereal grains (mainly corn) and an odd sweetness that lingers for a while. Sweeter than most macros.

Feel- Could use more carbonation. Felt flat and watery.

Overall- A little too sweet for me.

A thin yellow beer with a light white head. Much better on draft than by bottle. Torture yourself if you really want to.

Pours a thin yellow with big white head and thin lacing. Tastes of cereal grain and corn. Smells of thin light beer and some vague malts. Not a great beer. Not even a good beer. Thin mouthfeel.

Pours golden yellow with a white head. Smell is none existent. Has a sweet corn taste too it. A little bitter after taste. Mouthfeel is watery and light. Overall, this beer is mid table beer. However, I prefer this too most adjunct lagers.

Similar to the other Mexican beers in that it's pretty plain with just some corn flavor but this one is way too sweet for me and some strong afterflavor..

Watery sweet corn, nothing special or worth buying again.

From Club del Gourmet of El Corte Ingles. In Teku glass. After dinner. Corny but zesty and with a flavor profile ive found in some southamerican beers that I enjoy and makes it more interesting and with more body than expected

Somewhat mediocre. It tastes like beer flavored seltzer. Not a bad choice if you wish to have a clean and unoffensive beer. I have tasted better, but this beer gets the job done. It's way superior to Heineken.

As a lager, the thing that makes it stand out the most is the spice and flavour notes - there are a lot. It has almost a zesty, citrus-y mix that goes well with the lighter beer flavour. It's a decent common beer. Because of the large amount of flavour and heavy spices, it is not "clean" tasting like a normal lager, but more flavourful like an ale.

Taste in can. Pale golden colour with a medium head that fades soon, leaving a good lace. Aroma of nothing, maybe some corn and artificial esters.. Carbonation it's OK, palate it's refreshing but artificial. Taste of porn, herbs, too much sweetness. Corn is all the time, as one can expect from industril beers. Refreshing, but only to drink if you don't have another one. Better than Coronas or Sol but I don't even think of those as beers;-)

Pint on draft at El Rayo in Scarborough, Maine. Served with a lime. Review reflects presence of said lime.

Appearance: Crystal clear straw with a thin white head that is gone swiftly.

Aroma: Almost nothing. Crisp. Smells like water, if water had a smell.

Taste: Tastes like cold. Maybe a tiny hint of cereal grain. Dominant note was lime because, as stated, there was a lime.

Mouthfeel: As water.

Overall: There are beers in the world that are meant to be fussed over, and it's right and good to consider the hop profile, the grain bill and the intentions of the brewer in crafting the brew. This is not one of those beers. This is a beer to drink ice cold, with burritos, outside on a hot day. If that sounds unappealing to you, you may need to lighten up a bit. Some beers have single uses (such as plowing with burritos), and they hit that single-use target perfectly. I consider DX a bullseye on that level.

To be fair, not my favourite type of beer. However it does taste like what it should. Watery, odourless and no carbonation. On pouring it in the glass very fast to make a head, the head lasted about 45 seconds in a clean glass. appears flat after head dissipates. Colour is pale golden and clear. Smell is more light malt without the aroma of hops. Taste is light body and flavour. Easy drinking if you want to drink a few more without feeling full. Sorry, like I said, not my stein of beer.

Pours a very light pale yellow. Clear crisp and effervescent. Thin white head dissipates quickly.

Smell has notes of grain, skunk and sweet corn. The sweet corn definitely provided a distinct sweetness to the beer's aroma.

Taste is a bland array of corn and grain with a mild sweetness.. If this beer warms up it becomes an awful mix of warmed sweet corn and grains. I will give it props - its not nearly watery as most of its american counterparts.

Crisp, light and drinkable. Medium carbonation. Exactly what you;d expect from the style.

Overall, this is an incredibly bland beer. Im sure I could find something worse, but if you can't find something better, you aren't looking.

Comes out pale, yellow, tries to amass a head white in color but it is quickly eviscerated. Lots of corn sweetener kind of aroma from an industrial grade corn production plant.

So much sweetness here draped over a light beer. Really lacking the things that make a beer, a beer. Hops, malt, meh, mere afterthoughts at best. Loads of carbonation. Lots of water.

I really dislike this more than almost any other Mexican beer I can think of.

I don't know why I thought this would be good. I usually enjoy Mexican beers, but dos equis is very plain, too much like an American big brew, thin bodied, and sour tasting.

A: Pale yellow with a dish-washer soap head.
S: Smells very faintly of alcohol and grains, like other cheap Mexican beers do.
T: Tastes alright. Very subdued grain flavor, mixed with alcohol and water. The type of cheap beer that appeals to many, but it does maintain its Mexican adjunct lager distinctness.
M: Light and heavily carbonated.
O: Overall, a decent beer. I would never turn one down, but I would take a Modelo over this (even though they are so similar). I don't always drink beer, but when I do, it's almost never Dos Equis.

It is a typical lager, nothing extraordinary, boring. The Body is yellow and clear, thin foam and average carbonation. The taste is watery, grainy, no hop and the Sensation that it is a beer with cheap ingredients. It is ok during a hot day or with a mexican tacos

Pours a pale golden yellow with a finger of foam and high carbonation.

Very subtle grainy aroma.

Grain and corn flavor.

Light-bodied, high carbonation.

Overall, drinkable but not much more than that.

Standard lager look but with a decent amount of head.

Smell of cereals and grains.

In the mouth it's also the cereals and grains that come through.

Nothing exceptional but not bad either, easy to drink.

Dos Equis Special Lager brewed by Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma, S.A. de C.V., with an ABV of 4.30% This brew pours out a nice golden amber color with a small white head. The smell of Dos Equis Special Lager, is rich with grains and corn, and malts. You also pick up a hit of hops in the smell of this brew. Now for the taste of Dos Equis Special Lager, it is bold with flavors. You pick up on grains and malts in the taste of this brew. Dos Equis Special Lager is a real smooth drinking brew. This brew has the look, taste and feel of most American style larges on the market. Now I'm not say that is a bad thing. There is nothing overpowering about Dos Equis Special Lager, it goes down nice and smooth. The mouthfeel of Dos Equis Special Lager, is rich, bold, smooth and refreshing. I had one on a warm 85 degree day in Costa Maya, Mexico and it tasted much better than the one I rated in the US. Perhaps freshness has something to do with it. 3.07 was my original rating for the one I had here in the States.
