12oz bottle clearly marked 'pilsner', had to search out the 'Cerveza Clara' part. 150 calories, heh

Smells like lemon pepper and grain, with a slight hint of cheap booze. More malt than I expected.. it's clean, bready, not especially hoppy, though. Slight pepper and lemon, but mostly cracker and biscuit. Very clean and easy to drink

Could drink this all day, perfect summer BBQ beer

From the bottle which is marked "Pilsner", it pours a clear golden color with a modest head that reduces, leaving lacing, to a big island and nice ring. In the nose, it is light, with a touch of hops. In the mouth, it feels soft and nice, with only a touch of bitterness, and has a malt base.

Bohemia Clara Pilsner pours a very clear, amber color with a glorious foamy white head.  It has a thin mouth-feel and goes down quite smooth. This nose is bread like with a grassy tone as well. It has a very lightly sweet backbone that gives way to a mild bitter finish.  It is less bitter than a Czech Pilsner.  Not intrusive, but well-balanced.

Definitely the best of the major-brand Mexican beers. No thinness or chemical aftertaste, far from it, it's a very respectable pilsner-style beer, nice body, no corny sweetness, gently carbonated and just enough malt and hoppiness for a satisfying drink on a 95 degree day. Found it in Merida, Yucatan. 17 pesos for a single bottle at the Oxxo convenience store - significantly dearer than Sol (10 pesos) or Pacifica, but well worth the extra. Wish I could find it in Illinois.
