A very bland wheat beer with an aftertaste reminiscent of Dos Equis green label lager, but with the Dos Equis Amber color. This is decent beer, very soft on the palate, would be popular with reluctant beer drinkers and if all wheat malt, those avoiding hangovers.

Just found a new beer by Dos Equis. I picked up a 'Beers from Mexico' sampler case as I was shopping and much to my surprise, Dos Equis has included a wheat beer! Of course I decided to pick it up, as I was curious to what it would be like.

Look is about a half-inch/inch of white head that quickly dissipates after a minute with no lacing at all.

Beer has a malty smell, with wheat and spices. Little hop smell, and overall the odor wasn't very strong.

Taste is similar to a typical witbier style, wheat with coriander at the end-- reminded me of a Blue Moon except lighter in feel and without the orange peel. Beer left little aftertaste, was well carbonated, and felt light bodied. An easy drinking, refreshing beer overall.

Overall, this is very enjoyable, a light witbier. Some will prefer more taste overall-- again this is a light feeling beer but it is hard to beat for the summertime. Would probably be outstanding with fruit too, but didn't try that yet. Of more importance, the only place I can find mention of this beer is in this very sampler pack-- even dosen't mention of this beer! Makes me wonder if this will be a speciality production, regular production, or if it will even be available in the future..... As it stands now, it is the best beer offering from Dos Equis easily.
