330 ml bottle picked up from the singles bin at LCBO. Then poured into a pint glass.

Appearance - Looks fizzy, with a thin looking yellow color poured into the glass. Tons of carbonation is visible. 1 finger was poured with decent retention and even some lacing around the glass. While the color wasn't impressive, the other beer qualities were a pleasant surprise.

Smell - Not pleasant, which is probably aided by the clear bottle. Some corn, cooked vegetative scents, some slight grass notes and a bunch of skunk.

Taste - Well it tastes better than it smells. Tastes thin, wet with faint corn and adjuncts present. It's not entirely offensive at very cold temperatures and if you're very thirsty.

Mouthfeel - Thin, watery, carbonation aids the beer here as opposed to detracting from it. Feels a touch grainy in the mouth.

Overall - If you're looking for something cold and wet after a hard day's work this will do. However beyond that, definitely not a sipping beer and as expected was not a beer that improved as it warmed. Fortunately it was gone down the gullet rather quickly.

Yes this is a real Mexican beer!!! That's the way it should be judged. If you are a fan of those grapefruit beers dont try to describe what a good Mexican beer is. If I was used to drinking a sour bitter IPA I wouldnt like this beer either.

I first had one on a bus ride in Mexico where they had a full cooler for the bus ride to pyrimids on the beach (Tulum). The whole time I was checking out the pyrimids I kept thinking back about greeting back on the bus for some more.

That was in 1987. Found it at ABC while picking up a variety of pumpkin ales. Still has the same taste as 27 years ago!
Taste- Like syrup is to pancakes this beer is to your tounge!

Having a hot day mowing the lawn or working in the yard? Live in Florida? This is the beer for you!!!

Grade beers for purpose. Not for preference...
