Bohemia Oscura is a Vienna type beer. It offers the perfect balance of caramel and toasted malts that give off notes from walnut and coffee.

Appearance: Pours a clear, mahogany-toned body with a thin, wispy, ivory head.

Smell: Oscura has a rather weak aroma, with ultra faint touches of malt in the form of a dry toasty quality and lager character.

Taste: A bit sweetish, rather mild hints of toasted bread, nuts with a dusting of Sanka and chocolate. All rather mild, but fine, then, unfortunately, it turns a bit metallic as you reach the soft finish.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-light carbonation.

Overall: Picked up the Bohemia multipack to celebrate the Fourth of July - whoa, whoa, whoa - don't worry, I did make sure to snag some appropriate American-born beers for celebrating Independence Day. Still, I'd say the standard-issue Bohemia Clásica/Pilsner is the best of the bunch.

L: Light yellow, weak foam

S: Light smell of malt, hint of coffee

T: Malty with medium carbonation. Hint of nuts and caramel on the aftertaste.

O: I prefer the Bohemia Clásica, but great tasting beer nonetheless. Top shelf of Mexican Beers for sure

Bohemia "Vienna" bottle in Mexico in August, 2022. This is a handsome beer that I expected to be in the same quality league as the "Pilsener" I had already sampled. I was disappointed; I think this beer is below the standard set by Bohemia Pilsener. It could just be a variation on XX amber (both made by Heineken). It reminds me of some OK ambers including Yuengling Lager.
