24oz can stamped L9350484DC2204 16 12 2020 (so 3 months old) poured into a fishbowl at fridge temp 3.5% ABV. The beer pours bright golden yellow with fizzy, nearly white head. The head dissipates to absolutely nothing in about 90 seconds. The aroma is faint with lime and lager yeast. The taste is typical, yet clean, light beer up front with the lime and salt showing up subtly on the backend. No bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. No detectable brewing flaws. Overall, very good for what it is. I wouldn't routinely pay $2.89 for 24 ounces of 3.5 beer, but this would be nice for hot weather all day drinking. Scored as a fruit beer. Numbers would be much higher as an AAL.

Pale gold, bright clarity, rapid streams of carb, thin fizzy head. Aroma is briny, kind of dull. Taste is salty with a mild lime twang. Not enough to be considered a fruit beer at all. Mildly refreshing on a hot summer day, but not the greatest of beers.

Pours a straw colored beer and had a fair head. BBD Jun 2021in a 24 ounce can. It smells of sweet malt and lime. Tastes of salt and lime. Easy drinking at 3.5% ABV. Overall it's tasty and you can experiment with ice, salt and Tequila.

Clear yellow colored beer with no head formation.

Smells of toasted grain and corn. Slight citrus scent.

Starts out tasting of lemon and salt per the name of the beer. Slightly sweet. Assertive sour twang and taste of lemon.

Mouthfeel is light, this is a hot weather thirst quenching beer.

Overall it isn't bad.Think the Modelo version is better.

24oz can poured into Three Philosophers wine glass. Picked up from the grocery store during the COVID-19 pandemic for about 4 bucks I think. 13 02 2021 printed on bottom of can, so presumably that's a best by date of Februrary next year, so this has over half a year left of freshness in it.

Appearance - Pours small medium-fine flat sudsy head with decent to low retention. Good considering there's salt in it to be honest. Extremely pale gold body to the point of being almost whitish on backlight. Not particularly interesting, but why should it be. It's fine for the style. 4.5

Smell - Wet corn. Neither appetizing nor offputting. But this isn't a sniffing beer style, so the smell or lack of doesn't really matter. 4.25

Taste - Light bodied. Crisp lime. And most importantly, no off tones or skunkiness that you'd often get with a clear-bottled beer like Corona. 5

Mouthfeel - Clean, crisp, slightly effervescent and refreshing. Exactly what you'd go for when trying to salt and lime your Corona for example. Absolutely perfect within style. 5

Overall - No off characters. Not a beer for every occasion, but if this is the style you're looking for, this beer provides a master class in how to do it. 5

Pour is a clear gold color with lots of carbonation bubbles. Almost a finger of a head of white on the pour dropped down to just a few popping white bubbles on top very quickly. Don't expect glass lacing on this one. Does look refreshing on this hot day!

Smell is like a fresh lime sprinkled with fresh sea salt! The smell is crisp and inviting. I like that you can actually pick out the sea salt on the smell.

Taste is just a bit off here. I get the lime and salt. Yet there is like a bit of dirty grain in the back of the taste. The taste is good up front but towards the back it kind of falls flat on that dirty grain thing. What is that?

Mouth is light as a feather and finishes crisp as a bite of a bitter apple, or in this case a lime. Really no after taste just a snap pop boom and down she goes.

I am confused. My first Limon Y Sal I did not like because I was expecting a Chelada with tomato. Now I get it. Yet this one leaves me scratching my head. Seems there is a lot to like and a lot to dislike. They really came through with the lime and actual sea salt thing but the dirty grain thing holds me up. If you have ever had a Mexican beer with that taste like chewing on a piece of paper in it towards the end, like Tecate, that may explain it. I can't figure if it is the grain or the water in it that is throwing it off. This is a beer I really want to like but is leaving me confused. Look at the damn can! The graphics are awesome! O.K. enough ranting just give it a try and say what you will. Cheers folks and stay safe!
