Dos Equis Lager has long been consumed with lime and salt. That’s why we’re bringing the ritual of adding lime and salt into a can so you don’t have to.
Low bitterness, crisp, low-med body. Lime and salt are present but not overpowering. 4.2% ABV make this light & smooth to drink.

On the pour 3+ fingers of foamy white head sat on top of a surprisingly clear pale golden body. Head retention is decent but not insane. It looks like a decent, if not generic, lager beer.
Aroma is limey and tart but at the same time, a little funky in a bad way. Smells super tart.
Taste goes in a completely different direction from the aroma. The taste is at first light, then an artificial lime flavor comes in briefly with some skunked hops, and then a very sweet corn flavor comes in for the quick finish. Not what I expected, and not crisp.
The feel is at least extremely light so it is drinkable, but the carbonation is a bit too high, and the sweetness makes this feel heavier than it is.
Overall I'm glad they didn't call this a chelada, because that's not what it is. This lacks in both the salt and lime flavors, while turning the sweet corn up to eleven.

Poured from a silo can into a pint glass. Pours straw yellow orange with a small white head that dissipates very quickly. Smells of adjunct grain with fake lime. Tastes of fake lime with adjunct grain. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an average beer.

The pour is straw colored lime, slight corn, slight salt, & a slight hop bite near the finish. This was one of the better salt & lime beers I've had. Cheers! B-

12oz can. Poured out a pale, straw-yellow color with a large, fluffy, white head of foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of lime, sea salt, grains and caramel. Lots of lime taste with a slight puckering bite. Saltiness is minimal. Sweet caramel backbone.

From a 24 fl. oz. can with a BB date of Nov 2022. Sampled May 14, 2022.
It looks like an adjunct pager with its slightly foggy golden-yellow appearance under a fizzy white head.
Aroma of grainy malts and lime juice. Maybe a touch of floral hops to enhance it.
Thin, light mouthfeel.
The sweet grains, lime, and salt punch forward in the taste. Little to no bitterness. But clean, crisp finish. It is what is says it would be.

Such a refreshing beer. Much more subtle and natural flavoring than comparable beers from brands like Modelo.

Poured from 12 oz can into pint glass. Thin white head, mild lacing, pale straw color, moderate carbonation. Aroma of lime with malt background. Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Flavor is somewhat thin but definite lime and salt combined with corn sweetness, little to no hop detectable. Overall: good but a little too sweet.

Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma, S.A. de C.V. "Dos Equis Lager Especial Lime & Salt"
24 fl. oz. can
$2.79 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: Wow, I can actually smell the lime and salt just by popping the top of the can. I can smell it even more strongly as I pour it. It's delivered a clear golden body and a two finger thick head of white foam caps it. So far the head appears to be holding well. I'm not sure how I feel about the aroma. I like the idea that you can smell the salt but I think I'd like more of the lime to come through. That doesn't really matter though, so on to the taste... well, as is usually the case it tastes like it smells. I personally think there's too much salt here as well, and I'd prefer more lime but that's just me. What is it anyway? I'm assuming flavoring as it's not really that acidic, and in addition to being acidic limes are actually kind of bitter. Yeah, it's labeled as "natural flavor". The salt must be real though, and I don't see that listed. I also see that it's just 4.2% which would make it a good summer beer. In the mouth it's medium-light in body and crisp. So what does it really taste like? I get the lime and salt upfront, backed by the lightly sweetish malt, a rising acidity as it crosses the palate, and then more lime and salt left in the acidic and salty dry finish. It's pretty basic. I'm not finding any hops, not even a smear of liquid hop extract, but that's not necessarily a bad thing given what it is - I didn't expect hops, and to be honest, they'd be in the way here. The question is, is it good enough for what it is, and I think my answer to that is no. I think this could be better, but that's just my opinion.

It’s fair/what you would expect I suppose before venturing in. I ripped the big can To fill my gut some prior to getting into the Ipas/sours. Etc. Why? Cuz it’s a good for a pacesetter because it’s low alcohol. Lime is more apparent up front, salt more on the backend but there’s both their best I can tell.

Pour is a light almost straw like golden color. Had a foamy two fingers of white head that is sinking into the beer. Lots of carbonation bubbles visible.
Smell is very lime forward. Getting something like an unsalted cracker in the background. Lots of lime on the nose.
Taste is full of lime. Kind of cracker tasting at the very tip of the tounge with a hint of salt. Than hit of lime, fruit and rind combined. The salt plays around in the big punch of lime bouncing around in my mouth with the lime punch.
Mouth feel has a slight pucker up front. The carbonation really is very pleasant in this beer. Mouth feel is so nice overall. That pucker, the dancing carbonation and an extremely crisp finish.
Overall I was really surprised just how much I liked this beer. This rating is mine so someone else may be different. Yet I gotta say I really like this beer. It just says refreshing fun taste to me. The price on my 24 oz. can was the only bad part. Almost $3.70 at my local grocer. I really would love to buy more, much more, if I could get a good price on it. The carbonation is so fun, seriously. And the finish is not really sticky or lime like. Just refreshing. O.K., I admit I like this beer.
