I drank a lot of this in Baja de Sul. It's only out for a few weeks around Christmas time. Dark, malty and delicious. Has a lovely hint of chocolate and is only lightly sweet. Has notes of dark fruits and finishes a little bit dry. I didn't think of it as a Bock but rather more of a Dunkel. Get this beer when you see it as it will probably be fresh.

2016 edition. Finally after so many years I was able to evaluate this traditional seasonal local brew (which I had it over 15 years ago).
Brown reddish color with a thick beige head with good retention and leaving strong laces.
Nice aroma with notes of chocolate, caramel and red fruits.
Flavor with notes of chocolate, prunes, mild condiments, toasted malts, herbal hops and mild caramel. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
I see this as a bolder Vienna lager as opposed to a Bock. Worth it trying if you are in the country during season time.

Aroma is light caramel, a bit of sweetness and malts. The flavor is caramel, malts, a hint of butterscotch, a bit of fruit and a mildly sweet finish.

A decent dark brown bock, but nothing great to recommend it.
Malty. Less bubbles than its Mexican competition and a balanced finish.
Another example of Germans bringing their styles to the New World.
MJ's 1999 "guide" gave it 3 of 4 stars and pointed out this is a Christmas beer.

Well here is an interesting beer you just don't see all that often. Lots of caramel and toffee appearance wise, its a darker 'bock' beer if you will. The head formation is only 1/3". Aroma smells like Christmas, nutmeg, cinnamon, chocolate malt.
Taste, smooth, but enough levity to keep it from going porter. This is like a Mexican Winter Warmer ale just as much as it is a bock. I think its a pretty cool beer. I'm not dying to have it again, but given the brewery/region/style, its pretty neat.

2015 limited edition.
L- Deep clear amber body. Frothy open bubble tan head with low retention.
S- Malts, caramel and bread. Fairly weak.
T- Malty sweet bread and a slight corn note. Bland aftertaste.
F- Medium.
O- Better than any BMC Ive had but not near any craft beer. Very good for the price, just below average by itself. Sadly this year this beer went from 5.9% to 4.7% abv. Previous iterations were better.

Bottle at Amaité Cafe, Puebla, Mexico
A: The beer is clear amber in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a short off white head that left a collar around the edge of glass.
S: Light aromas of chocolate malts are present in the nose.
T; The taste is a little malty with hints of chocolate and a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink. It is definitely a little more maltier compared to other Mexican beers.
Note: Edition Limited 2015
