A rabbit earren of wonderful little corners. Great food and a good though not large selection of craft ale.

Dropped in for a beer. What a selection both on tap and in the bottle. Prices are a bit high. 10oz pour at $8.00 is a bit steep for some brews.

Nice atmosphere. Enjoyable décor. Nice place for a group but watch out at the end of the night what the bill comes to. Very expensive.

Didn't try any food but it was a picking menu. The eggs smelt good though.

The patio makes this place, and so good weather and lunchtime is when to go. With the canvas roof up, it was great, romantic and all that. Food (as reviewed by Chavdar and Jonathan) was above average. Beer selection is passable, 2nd tier and the place is central. This is a day place, and for drinks with lunch. The main restaurant is tight, and if you stay at the bar, it is very tight. Saw about a dozen taps and about a dozen bottles, with the majority devoted to craft beer. Beer served at appropriate temperature but glass was chlorined and service was good considering the lunchtime crowd.

I've been to the Rebel House a bunch of times and figured I should throw in my two cents. The bar is a short hop away from the Rosedale Subway Station and about 10 minutes walk north of the busy Yonge and Bloor intersection where Toronto's two main subway lines cross.

A pleasant enough looking pub from the outside, the interior is pure Canadiana, and includes a stuffed beaver behind the bar. Its delightful in a kitsch kind if way, and a very pleasant spot to have a drink. The downstairs is small and cosy, with the bar dominating, while the upstairs offers more space but less character. An excellent patio out back is usable from early spring into fall because of numerous heaters.

Beer selection focuses on Ontario micros, and does a good job of it. While I don't expect to see any exciting limited releases or one off here, I do see some excellent brews, including the highly regarded Denison's weisse and the equally awesome Grand River Mill Race Mild. Expect to pay around $6 for a pint.

Service is attentive and friendly, striking a good balance between giving you privacy and helping satisfy calls for beer and food. Talking of which...the food aims to be a cut above regular pub fare (as evidenced by the prices), but doesn't quite make it. Its pleasant and filling, but I'd expect a higher quality after paying the premium.

Its a decent bar... far from my first choice in the city, and I really would recommend Volo, which isn't far south on the same road, but its still a great place to enjoy a pint.

It's high time I reviewed the Rebel House since it's one of the best pubs in Toronto and a favorite stop on my frequent trips to this city. I'm surprised there's only one other review here - it deserves better recognition! While the bar itself is small, there is plenty of table seating upstairs as well as on the first floor. The bar attracts an interesting group of beer fans who enjoy the well chosen and always changing range of beers. There's always a lively exchange going on between staff and patrons. I always feel welcome and at home here. The food is WAY beyond typical pub fare and should not be missed. Sunday brunch is great and they make the best Bloody Mary I've had. During good weather, the back patio is one of the best in Toronto. The Rebel House is very easy to get to - take the Yonge St. subway to the Rosedale station and then walk up(north) the left side of Yonge St. a half block.

This is a great little place on Yonge Street, just a few blocks north of Bloor. It's quite narrow, with a bar seating area (and bar) in the front and dining room seating in the back. Restrooms are downstairs. In warm weather, the entire backyard is a large covered patio. We've always had excellent service here, whether we stopped in for a full dinner or just a pint. Taps are dedicated to local microbrews, so there's always something fresh available and seasonals seem to rotate in quite regularly. Wellington, Mill Street, Black Oak, and McAuslan are almost always represented, along with offerings from many other brewers. It seems as though they're trying to spread their taps among everyone, rather than letting one or two breweries dominate. Food is tasty and a little different than standard pub fare. On our last visit we shared an elk sausage platter with homemade mustard and some full chicken wings (not the kind served everywhere else, where the wing has been broken apart). The ribs and homemade fries are also quite good. Overall, an excellent pub. Every neighborhood should have one this good.
