Beautiful light gold crystal clear body. Very good head production and retention.
Slightly sweet, slightly grassy nose. Honeyed white bread with a touch of lemon.
Flavor follows: white bread, light grain and cereal, with a sweetness on the back third that isn't unpleasant, but neither is it entirely pleasant. Very light citrus. Kind of dull and mineral-like aftertaste.
Effervescent finish. Otherwise a lively and very drinkable body.
Certainly not a bad Helles, but it's not great. I would happily take it over an AAL, but it's closer to Budweiser than it is to Spaten.

Brewer's Advent Calendar 2020 #11
Medium gold with some hints of amber, clear, pours with a small white head, fades to a medium collar
Pale grains, pale malts, light bread, crackers, light touches of caramel grain, toast, very light hint of noble hops, light malty sweetness, hints of lemon and light fruit, mainly apple, somewhat unrefined overall, borderline like a mix of styles
Light body, mostly crisp, carbonation on the low side
This lager, like many others in this calendar, is not bad. But it's not really that good, either. It is not really that good of an example of a Helles, as it really should be cleaner. I realize I am drinking these cans really late, but why bother printing a best by 2022 date on the bottom of the can if they needed to be consumed in 2020?

Clear dark gold with a white cap. Classic golden lager malts, honey grains and not much else in both smell and taste. Not bad just boring. Feel is clean, crisp, light bodied, and thing with higher carbonation. The honey impression is the best part of the beer, but simply loses interest halfway home. The wife liked it

Day 11 on the Costco 2020 Beer Advent Calendar. Poured from a can into a tulip. Pours golden yellow red with a small white head. Smells of sweet grain, pretty plain. Tastes of sweet grain with slight caramel notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

L:. Pours a brilliant golden yellow with a small white head and no lacing. Very nice looking beer.
S:. Grain and sweet apple, with a light hop. Smells pretty sweet.
T:. Grain and a bit of watery sweetness, the taste is a bit of a let down.
F:. Light body, carbonation seems a little low
O:. The taste is a let down on this beer.

Taste: crisp biscuit, crackers, bready, light malts, bright subtle hops, clean finish. Same with the nose. Warm golden hue, clear, with foamy head and some lace. Medium body. Refined and balance beer to start the day with.

Beer 11 Costco advent calendar.
Not bad, very drinkable, but unremarkable. Not overly sweet, dry finish, looks like beer, smells like beer.
A side note: nearly half way through this Costco advent calendar and I’m finding that all the beers are nearly undistinguishable from one another. No variety, all safe, middle of the road, average beers, and I have to wonder if all beers in Germany are really this boring.
