Located in a former fire station. Super nice Biergarten in the back.
Focus is on German style beers, they don't mess around with silly adjuncts.
Friendly staff, good beer and Gemütlichkeit!

We stopped here to try their beers and to have dinner. It was mid-afternoon on a Thursday and they were just starting to get busy. Parking was in a large lot at the side of the building, and the entrance to the building is on that side. The covered biergarten at the rear of the building was hosting a private event so I didn't get to look in there. A small patio is located at the front of the building. An L-shaped bar seats 18-20, and all of the tables were long, community tables. The place has nice vibe, but it has to be the noisiest place that I've ever been in (and it wasn't crowded yet)! Ordering beer and food is done at the bar.
We ordered a sampler flight of 4 of the 8 available beers – Pils, Dortmunder, Marzen and Helles. We also got a taste of the Hefeweizen when one of the beers that we got was mistakenly it. All were brewed very well to style so that we ended up with an overall rating of 4.25. (I saw Clausthaler NA in bottles as an option too.)
The food that we ordered was very good! My only complaint is that they serve it on small metal trays which allows the food to get cold quickly. I noticed a few bottles of wine in the cooler behind the bar, so there is an alternative beverage available for the non-beer drinker. Some of the beers are available to go in cans. We really enjoyed this place and would visit again when in the area.

A good location and the building is a nice, older brick edifice. Good contrast between the bright white walls and very dark wood bar, tables, stools and chairs. One thing to like are the German & Czech beer styles, which now are out of the ordinary, in a world of hazies, IPAs & sours. The beers are mainly OK but the Golem Czech pilsner is good.

This place is an authentic Bavarian Bier Garten with legit german beers from a talented brewer with great food. A really fun place with great vibe. The firehouse conversion and landscape design is beautiful.

Beautiful venue in an old firehouse. Stained glass windows made locally by Franklin Art Glass. German beer hall style layout with picnic tables plus a small patio out front. Nice lineup of well made German style beers and a good menu of German foods.

Gemüt Biergarten is located in a former fire station in the Olde Towne East neighborhood of Columbus. There was ample parking next to the building.
Once you enter, you have the bar area in front, along with plenty of tables inside. There was also a nice patio area outside. As you might surmise from their name, they brew and serve German beers. I had a glass of Alfheim Hefeweizen. Although we already ate before visiting Gemüt Biergarten, they do offer food which looked tasty.
There's a nice neighborhood vibe and former fire station added a nice touch. I enjoyed my visit. Cool place.
