Visited here for the first time on 17SEP19. After a great tour of the Dutch Resistance Museum, I swung by here for some eats and biers...
Has a nice ground-level location in a long, multi-story brick building. Faces southwest, with a small road out front and a large canal just beyond. There are 2 entry doors - the left leads to a slightly lower-level bar, the right heads upstairs. There are 4-5 small tables right out front, with another set of tables across the street, near the canal. Entering the left door brings you to the bar area. It's a small room, slightly longer front to rear than side to side. The bar is on the right, heading arears, with about 5 stools. The left side has 5-6 small tables. There are lists of their beers on the walls to the left, with lots of glassware on the back wall and above the bar. It's a bright, airy, welcoming area. The right door leads to an upstairs area, where you'll find another ~10 tables and some comfy, padded recliners. It's also bright and airy.
They had a diverse bier menu, with at least 60 different offerings running the gamut of styles. Biers available were heavy on local offerings, like Uiltje, Kompaan and Kleiburg. I tried 3 tasty Imperial IPAs while there. They have a light menu of snack-type food to munch. I grabbed a dish of some little, spicy meat rolls with dipping sauce. Hit the spot! The solo gal working the place was quite helpful and attentive, offering bier suggestions as well as letting me charge my camera battery at the bar. Prices here were very reasonable, especially for Amsterdam. Quite an enjoyable visit, it was... Prosit!!
