Look: Pours a darker amber color with a sudsy off-white head that builds up and puckers away to a pillow, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Cereal grains, lightly toasted bread, and some earthy and spicy hop notes. Not much going on here
Taste: Taste picks up a little as cereal grains and light bready notes come on and develop as some toasted bread is also evident. Muted spicy and earthy hops interject occasionally and closes with steeped cereal grains
Mouthfeel: Light, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean on the finish
Overall: This is okay. My first Foster’s green can, labeled ‘Premium’ and honestly, I didn’t even know there was another option besides the standard blue can, but figured why not try it. It is what I thought it would be – a decent macro that if not off-putting, which this isn’t, would be fine to throwback on those lazy and hot days outside

Tastes a lot like their much-maligned lager (it's got that slightly metallic, caramel-like sweetness and watery feel) except it's technically an ale. Or more specifically an ESB, if this site is to be believed--but for some reason it feels weird to think of it as that. Also like their lager, it doesn't take better to me the more buzzed I get (which PBR, bud, etc. do).
Overall, I think Foster's lager does a better job being a bad lager than this does being a bad ale, if that makes sense. Still drinkable, but it's hard to conceptualize anything more average than this.

Bought a 25.4 oz can at local Walmart for $1.97 to use in braising ribs. Only needed half the can for cooking so poured remainder into chilled pint glass. Pours an attractive deep amber with quarter inch of off white head that fades quickly. No detectable odor. Taste is sweet malt from start to finish. Occasionally detect an odd bitter after taste but nothing offensive. Taste to me is like apple juice and similar to Bass Ale. Surprisingly not bad for the price. As good or better than Yuengling in my opinion. Will make this part of my summer budget drinking regime.

Poured from a oil can into a pint glass. Pours red orange with a fluffy white head. Smells of sweet grain, especially corn. Tastes of sweet grain, better than most adjuncts, some fruit notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an average beer.

Clear amber color with a slightly off white head. The head did seem to last a bit.
The smell wasn't real strong, but picked up some grain and sweet floral notes.
The taste is pretty subtle in this one. There is a malty sweetness, Also has a bit of caramel, which lingers a bit in the aftertaste.
Main thing in the feel is tingling from the carbonation.
Compared to the original Foster's, I think this version has less flavor to it. It's not horrible by any stretch, just a bit bland. Still better than many big name beers I have had, as it does have more flavor. Would be a good one to have on a hot day.

750ml can. Brewed in the USA. Bottom is stamped with best by date of 'DEC1823'.
Clear, pale amber colored body. Initial pour produces a multi finger white head. Leaves behind thick webs of lacing.
Aroma of sweet grain malts and fruity/floral hops.
Taste is sweet grain malts, getting close to caramel. Fruity, as in pear and apple. Floral and herbal hops. Low bitterness level.
Medium mouth feel. Smooth texture. Good carbonation.
Pretty body color. Decent drinkability, but does get a bit of a cardboard effect mid-stream.

I’ve only had the Foster’s Lager and that was a few years ago, and I remember it tasting pretty bad, so I was very pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable Foster’s Premium Ale was, I will be repurchasing this in the future. I also love that the cans are tailor made to fit Andre the Giant’s hands.

This beer is by no means a fancy shmancey high end IPA. It's a simply concocted beer for the masses. It tastes good enough, it's got a good kick and when you can buy two big cans of it in a CVS in midtown Manhattan for $5, who the fuck cares. Nuff said
