Yes, the big can is cool. No, it wouldn't be my first choice among other options, but the point of AAL style beers has never been whether or not they'd be your first choice. Watery, corny, bready, blah blah, and a little bitter (obviously I mean relative to what it is, not relative to some hop bomb IPA). Comfortably mid-range for adjunct stuff imo. Not great, but on the other hand if this is actually UNDRINKABLE to you, I feel like you're either entrenched in classist ideology w.r.t. taste ('anything that isn't loud, flashy and expensive is pisswater!') or you just don't like beer.

On tap at the Outback.
A - Light medium gold color with delicate carbonation and a thin layer of head floating on top.
S - Alot of grainy corn adjunct on the nose along with some honey malt.
T - Alot of mineral honey grain from start to finish, starts sweet and ends sweet with very mild bitterness (barely detectable).
M - Medium body that's thin around the edges.
O - This is very "non-eventful".

Oil can from Rite Aid. Clear golden pour with a thick, sturdy white head. Looks fantastic. Sweet, corny aroma, but not awful. Taste is grainy, mild sweetness, even a modicum of bitterness at the finish. I actually like this.

I had this beer a couple of times before and always thought of it as a bitter and overly frothy mess, but now retrying it now as WORLD CLASS BEER EXPERT, I must say that it isn’t a bad beer at all. However Foster’s Premium Ale is a lot better in my opinion, so if I were to see the Lager in the blue can, and the Ale in the green can, I’d go with the green can every time.

Sampled at Outback Steakhouse. Poured into a large plastic mug with handle. Staw/golden with quickly fading head of foam. Lots of streaming bubbles. Very faint aroma of grains and perhaps some corn. Luckily it wasn't skunked. The taste was nothing out of the ordinary. You could tell you were drinking beer. Mouthfeel was nothing special either. Crisp, watery, and refreshing on a hot summer day. Overall not as bad as you might think. Typical mass produced lager. Advertised as an Australian beer but on tap in every British pub I have drunk in and that's a lot over the years. [Fosters was actually introduced in Melbourne by two brothers from New York]. Despite what Paul Hogan says in the adverts Foster's isn't necessarily australian for beer. Lol. While I prefer Carlton or Castlemaine XXXX I would reach for a foster's over some of the snooty craft beer. Lol.

Presentation: 25.4 ounce can poured into a pint glass
Look: Rich golden color. Small foamy head. Looks better than other comparable beers.
Smell: Grainy, cereal like smell. Minor hops odor.
Taste: Grainy, cereal taste to begin with, and a bitter hops aftertaste. The taste is distinct and enjoyable.
Feel: Mouth feel is decent. Smooth with a bit of a seltzer feel at the end.
Overall it is a respectable lager. Nothing remarkable about it but it has a distinct taste which sets it apart from other similarly priced beers. I'd recommend this beer if you're on a budget, but still want a flavorful lager.

This was not a terrible lager. It was reasonably dry, without the corruption of sweeter cereal grains. The body was well carbonated, with the carbonation, being very visible. The grains that came in the initial, lead to a clean, dry finish. On a hot day, this would be exceptionally drinkable.
