Bottle: Poured a golden yellow color lager with a huge bubbly white head with average retention. Aroma of weak malt with minimal skunk, which is reassuring. Taste of semi-sweet malt with a clear subtle bitter finish. Body is about average for style. Not bad considering I had lot worst but nothing great either.

hmmm.... can a beer even look any dumpier than this? cold, it's pretty easy to drink, but definitely nowhere near the cellar dwellers of amercian commercial piss... this has been a stellar beer drinking day for me!

One of my first Polish beers I had. I didn't like beer back then, and I still don't like Lezajsk now. 3 Smirnoff Ices/10

Poured from a 500ml bottle, best before 07.10.2014.

Pours a yellow body with good head and spotted lacing, average for the style. Aroma is ho-hum, mostly corn. Bit of fruit flesh in flavor but has an overall clammy feel and skunkiness settles in once it warms. Drink this ice cold if you have to have one.

Drink before 11-18-2014

Appearance: Pours with a straw yellow color. Two fingers of head on the pour which quickly dissipated but was sparingly present while drinking. A lot of active carbonation but about right for the style.

Smell: Bready yeast and bananas hit the nose first. Soft cloves and mossy hops on the body. There is a touch of like wet paper funkiness but you really have to dig for it.

Taste: The front is a little watery with accents of buttery dough and cloves. The body is a plain and simple yet enjoyable breadiness. There is a lingering oak funk left on the palate after drinking which keeps you reaching back for more to wash it away.

Mouthfeel: The lingering funk isn't great but after that this is a pretty simple easy drinker. Carbonation fits.

Overall: Getting pretty much what you payed for here. It is a simple brew, that I would have no problem crushing on a warm day. If you enjoy this style I would certainly give this a go.

Blue and white "Lezajsk Beer" label, Polish wiki confirms this is the brewer, owned by Grupo Zywiec.

Pours with a rocky head that has impressive staying power, and plenty of sticky lace all around the glass. Saturated gold tone, perfect clarity, steady rising trails of champagne carbonation. Too bad the rest of the beer isn't as good as it looks.

Smells of soggy grain husks and graham crackers.

Tastes like wet paper, watery and grainy, thankfully not too heavy on the carbonation. Fairly medium bodied. Very faint hop bitterness in the aftertaste, which is fairly clean I guess. Overall though it's pretty bland tasting, and ultimately that's what makes or breaks it. Wouldn't pick it up again.
