well, this place is finally open. i have been seeing their beers around awhile now, apparently brewed out of selkirk abbey until now, not even sure they have done a batch at the new spot yet, but close. equipment visible in the back there, a humble set up at this point. its pretty bare bones inside here, but looks to still sort of be in progress, like no real decor yet, still feels like a small warehouse, some white paint and a long right angled bar is about it so far, aside from the posted beer menu. the bar is cool though, it has water in the middle of it like a river that will eventually flow i think, but wasnt yet running when i was in. will be sick when its rolling, and when they have a little more time to make this place something more than four walls. huge selection already though, maybe a dozen beers on, including some weird ones like a still sahti and a saison run through a pine tree mid boil! i liked both of those, and also enjoyed a wet hopped red ale spiked with coffee, super unconventional and really solid. some ipa types were also present though, ill get into those next time. i love the innovation, and i suspect big things beer wise once they get their feet under them here a little bit. good service, some young dudes friendly enough with a bit of product knowledge made me feel welcome. looking forward to watching these guys grow into their new space, i love what they have going so far, ill update when i can make it in again. the scene here in spokane is really happening right now!
