Thanks to my Hawaiian hookups for this one, kk73 and July2Nov.
12oz bottle poured into SA perfect pint.
A- Pours a deep brown with a small head, only a half finger worth of head that leaves some nice lacing on the side of the glass.
S- Big doses of coffee. That is first and foremost. Some dark chocolate and some nice roasted malt as well.
T- Some very nice roasted malt and the coffee, oh the coffee. There is a reason Kona coffee is known for what it's known for. Deep and rich, unlike most coffee stouts or porters I have had.
M- Medium bodied but I would have preferred a little thicker bodied on this one. Pretty much no carbonation on the feel except at the back of the throat.
D- Probably the best coffee infused beer I have had. That is saying a lot since my local go to is Central Waters Coffee Stout for all you old school acronymphs.

12oz can. Can bottom is stamped 'PKGD ON AUG05 22'.
Deep brown colored body, with wide margin of mahogany back lit edge. One finger of light tan head. Leaves behind a few spots of lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts with coffee.
Taste is sweet roasted malt with coffee. Slightly bitter coffee in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel. Smooth finish. Very good carbonation.
Low key coffee flavored porter. Kind of fits with the North Shore surf action.

This porter struck me as lighter in feel/richness than I would consider ideal. Very easy going down though, especially on 70 degree evening on the North Shore. I lived in Hawaii 2 years serving Uncle Sam. The highlight with this brew for me was the wonderfully subltle presence of the coffee. Delicious. Some coffee Stouts overwhelm me with coffee taste. Nice touch Kona.

12oz can PKGD ON AUG08 22 poured into a juice glass at fridge temp 5.3% ABV per can. The beer pours opaque medium brown with mahogany highlights and light brown head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. The aroma is mild with cocoa and coffee. The taste is bittersweet roasted malt with more cocoa and (slight) coffee. Mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, good.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours pitch black with a small light brown head. Smells of chocolate with just a hint of coffee. Tastes of coffee with nice chocolate notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.

From the can, it poiurs a clear dark brown color with amodest light brown head that soon reduces to a nice ring. The nose gets a does of coffee followed by roasted malts. The mouth follows the nose.
Note: Don't drink this one too cold! Nose disappears!
