Notes / Commercial Description:

Ordered this beer on draft last night, solely because there were no other options. Needless to say, expectations were low. However, I found this beer to be a decent PA, with enough body to keep it from being the wimpy drink I expected. Definitely on the tamer side of pales, it nevertheless has a solid initial impression (nice malty aroma) that carries through. Very drinkable with a meal or on a warmer day.

A softer pale ale than I'm used to, not too pungent, but still gives it the kick it needs. Nothing overwhelming about it. It's an easy drinker. Something about Kona I love that will keep bringing me back.

From estucerveza. In Teku glass. Playing Broken Age. For free as it was 1 month after is bbf date. Plain flavors, with just some light caramel notes in mouth and significant bitterness. A bit metallic

Beautiful amber color with a long lasting foamy head and significant lacing. Smell and taste are both light citrusy hops with a biscuit like malt background. While the taste leans a bit towards sweetness, the finish is very clean and perhaps slightly dry. The hops are perfectly balanced with the malt and give a very smooth mouthfeel with excellent carbonation. Overall this is a very solid beer. The moderate hopping and ABV as well as the smooth flavor make this an excellent beer to introduce your BMC drinking associates to something perhaps a little (OK, a lot) better. Bought a 1/6 keg for the house and can see keeping it in stock is going to be a problem!

Really full and well-balanced flavor for a session beer. For this category it doesn't get much better.

Bottle.

A: Amber color, clear, with smooth white uniform head.

A: Roasted malts, slightly sweet, with floral citrusy hop aromas.

T: Crisp, with rich malt flavors of caramel and toffee, moderately sweet, with floral hops and moderate hop bitterness, and a semi-dry finish.

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

O: Solid; the beer has an interesting caramel malt sweetness and floral citrusy hop character that drinks easy enough.
