Koko Brown's distinctive, nutty aroma and flavor comes from real, toasted coconut blended into each brew. One sip of this smooth, mahogany colored ale and you'll feel like you're on a warm, sun drenched beach in Hawaii. Crack one open!

Average dark brown ale, 3/4" head on the top, a mild tan head, decent lace on it. Aroma was the usual suspect brown malt, I didn't really pick up much in the way of coconut, but the packaging kept making me look for it and think I may have found it, but really, I don't know, but the mild chocolate it had going for it was nice.
Taste, maybe the coconut is the lactose like aspect in the mouthfeel. A pretty smooth beer. Consistent throughout, some additional sweetness grows out of the lactose-ishness. Its decent, but at the same time conventional like most brown ales aim to be. I'd like to see a thicker version of this, not necessarily higher alcohol, but bigger, more coconut, vanilla, but stick with the brown malt.

Best offering they have. Had a flight of their four dark beers in their pub in Kona. Toasted coconut immediately, not normally my favorite but it works here. Hints of caramel and vanilla. A fine choice from the finest island in the finest state.

Another brew from Kona who always rocks. Popping the top I get wafts of roasts malt and coconut. Pours to a root beer brown with a beige head. Taste is sweet coconut almost pina colada like. There is a bit of roasted malt and some bitterness. More tropical than I expected up front but the coconut transitions to a nice chocolate roasted malt. If you are a pina colada fan it’s a winner.
