Koko Brown's distinctive, nutty aroma and flavor comes from real, toasted coconut blended into each brew. One sip of this smooth, mahogany colored ale and you'll feel like you're on a warm, sun drenched beach in Hawaii. Crack one open!

22 oz. bomber poured into a pint glass. Pours a medium brown with some notable highlights and with good clarity in the light. Half an inch cap settles out in a couple minutes.
Rather roasty aroma through the foam, thinning out as the cap settles and offering a notable coconut aroma quite reminiscent of Coco Lopez.
Flavor follows with a sweet coconut punch which overpowers the malt notes initially but does allow for an interesting finish as the coconut fades and some malt flavors become more evident and giving a longer finish than expected. Coconut factor is rather significant through the palate. Feel is a bit thin but works given the sweet coconut to balance things out.
Overall a bit cloying and singular in nature though a small glass with dessert might fit the bill. A better balance, aka less coconut and or more dark malts would kick this up a notch for sure.

Best offering they have. Had a flight of their four dark beers in their pub in Kona. Toasted coconut immediately, not normally my favorite but it works here. Hints of caramel and vanilla. A fine choice from the finest island in the finest state.

Another brew from Kona who always rocks. Popping the top I get wafts of roasts malt and coconut. Pours to a root beer brown with a beige head. Taste is sweet coconut almost pina colada like. There is a bit of roasted malt and some bitterness. More tropical than I expected up front but the coconut transitions to a nice chocolate roasted malt. If you are a pina colada fan it’s a winner.
