Koko Brown's distinctive, nutty aroma and flavor comes from real, toasted coconut blended into each brew. One sip of this smooth, mahogany colored ale and you'll feel like you're on a warm, sun drenched beach in Hawaii. Crack one open!

A: Pours a cherry brown ale with absolute clarity. Three finger burnt cream head retires down over five minutes to leave broken quilt of the same. Coarse spider web lacing. Good looker.
S: Smells more like the meat of a coconut, rather than the essence (like many coconut beers, IMO). This of course over a very simple brown ale nose. Hints of clove in there as well, some vanilla.
T: Wow, uber Coconut! Very nice up front. The beer has tones of cocoa and light cinnamon as well. Simple, one dimensional, but nice.
M: Light to medium body with medium carbonation. Subtle oral slicking.
D: Good beer. surprised by this offering from Kona. Glad they took an apparently unique approach to an up and coming category (coconut) of beer. I like it.

Best offering they have. Had a flight of their four dark beers in their pub in Kona. Toasted coconut immediately, not normally my favorite but it works here. Hints of caramel and vanilla. A fine choice from the finest island in the finest state.

Another brew from Kona who always rocks. Popping the top I get wafts of roasts malt and coconut. Pours to a root beer brown with a beige head. Taste is sweet coconut almost pina colada like. There is a bit of roasted malt and some bitterness. More tropical than I expected up front but the coconut transitions to a nice chocolate roasted malt. If you are a pina colada fan it’s a winner.
