A 12oz glass, and another one of the current seasonals at the Kona brewpub.

This beer appears a slightly hazy, pale golden straw colour, with one finger of creamy and barely sullied off-white head, which leaves a nice undulating shoreline of lace around the glass as it hies it outta Dodge.

It smells of yeasty, grainy malt, a bit of mild citrus, some faint biscuit notes, and a slight white sugary character. The taste is grainy pale malt, some subtle earthy coriander, head in the sand yeast, and reserved leafy hops.

The bubbles are fairly average in their basically supportive frothiness, the body a solid medium weight, and agreeably smooth. It finishes off-dry, the grain, somewhat spicy coriander, and lingering hops working it just so.

A fairly decent version of this hard to come across Old World style, generally well rendered at this bastion of remoteness in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
