Initial Look and Smell is an adjunct lager, like maybe as little as 50% barley. Taste calms down my suspicions as the fuller barley malt comes through sweetly, yet balanced by some drying hops in the finish.
I only bought this because Lomza Export is listed on the "1001." Yet the reviewer made some interesting points: Browar Lomza was founded under communism because it has a great source for fresh water. Of course it was sold, but the private owners have kept to the whole green, regionalism milieu. While a well put-together beer, it seems to have a severe recipe and its history helps explain this.

Look - absolutely crystal clear light gold, one finger width initial head settling to a layer of bubbles and leaving lacing
Smell - sweet malt, faint hops
Taste - unpleasantly sweet and underhopped; it tastes like an inexpensive US malt liquor like a Colt 45; overall pretty bad
Feel - okay; under-carbonated
Overall - somewhere between okay and poor; maybe a poor plus? At least the abv is above 5. Good for drinking out of a brown bag and under a bridge perhaps

Golden color with a thick head with short retention.
Aroma with notes of grains, leaves and a faint herbal hop.
Flavor with notes of malt sweetness followed by herbal and earthy hops. Finishes with a spicy and sweet mix. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Decent Dortumunder with a good balance and pleasant to drink in quantity. Excellent cost-benefit.

A: Golden, clear, decent sized head which disappeared fairly quickly, left quite a bit of lacing.
S: Grassy, some malt.
T: Followed the nose, on the sweet side for a Pilsner, some grainy bitterness kicked in at the finish.
M: Heavy texture when compared with other Pilsners, low carbonation.
O: Not like other Pilsners, more of a Euro style lager.

500 mL can from the LCBO; listed at 5.5% for the Canadian market. Best before Aug 22 2019 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a clear, bright medium golden hue, with just over one finger's worth of foamy white head. It lasts for two minutes or so, swiftly eroded down to a thin, frothy collar and a patchy film upon the surface; some scant lace is splashed about in the process. It smells of biscuity-sweet malts, with added hints of toasted grain, apples and weedy, leafy hops, as well as a corny boiled vegetable note that kind of spoils an otherwise acceptable aroma.
Taste-wise, it's a bog standard Euro lager. Biscuity, bready barley malt sweetness is the central flavour, which by mid-sip is joined by lesser notes of apple skin, grainy cereals and boiled vegetables. The hop contributions are minimal at best, with only a faint hint of grassy, musty, slightly floral bitterness coming through towards the finish, before being subsumed by a vegetal sweetness that dissipates into the aftertaste. Its body is medium in weight, with below average carbonation levels that gently tickle the surface of the palate, resulting in a smooth, fulfilling texture. Not the most refreshing of lagers, but easy enough to toss back.
Final Grade: 3.2, a C+. Łomża Export is OK at best. I do prefer to grade to style where possible, but in all honesty I rarely drink Dortmunders and haven't reviewed a new one in at least 4 years... so I am really just comparing this against the other Polish lagers I drink on a semi-regular basis. By that metric, I've had better (e.g. I'd pick Tyskie or Warka Strong over this without hesitation), but I've also had much worse. In short, it's a halfway decent budget lager that I may or may not return to in the future. Recommended to macro "ice" beer drinkers: this is a definite step up from that swill, because it's not nearly as gross and it's roughly the same price.

Pours clear, gold in color with one inch head. Taste is grain and grass. Light bodied, sweet, moderate carbonation. Tasty light lager. Good for the style.

A too-sweet Dortmunder/Export style from Poland but it is too sweet and tastes of maize!! The Germans (and some US craft brewers) still do it much better although DAB has fallen behind ( I wonder if it still tastes as good on tap (Frisch Vom Faß) unpasteurized in Dortmund)). Poured into an export stein
Pours with a nice head that finally recedes leaving a little lacing
Smells of malt and corn and noble hops
Taste; Too sweet, from the corn (maize)and of malt the sweetness overpowers the hops
Carbonation is O.K.if poured vigourously
This beer is far too sweet for the style! Maybe if they ditched the corn it would be less sweet and the malt and the hops would shine through.
Final statement : too sweet for me
Dortmunder Gold from Great Lakes Brewing Co. makes a great example in North America.

Got cheap in my travels, and it proved the old adage true: you get what you pay for. Smell is straight adjunct, grain heavy. Taste brought in some nice honey and barley tastes, but still macro-euro flavors on the finish. Feel is decent enough given the cheap ingredients, despite too much carbonation.
