Poured into a 16 oz tulip not sure when it was canned. Pours a chestnut brown with a finger plus sticky khaki head that leaves some thick streaks of lace with solid retention. 4.25

Aroma biscuit, cocoa, vanilla, toffee, and a hint of coffee. 3.75

Taste follows biscuit, cocoa, toffee, vanilla, and coffee grounds.3.75

Mouthfeel is about medium, not dry, gentle carbonation, and at 5.3% it drinks like that. 4

Overall this is a nice sessionable brown ale, nothing earth shattering but and easy drinking brown ale. 3.75

From a 16oz can, undated. Purchased at the brewery 07/12/21. Served in a willi becher glass.

Pours cola colored with a scant finger of soft creamy head. Retention is fairly decent, leaving a fizzy cap, creamy collar and a barely rousable, thin sheet of lacing that still leaves concentric rings down the inside of the glass.

A fairly robust nose, reminiscent of molasses-sweetened oatmeal bread. And heathbar maybe a bit more as it warms up.

Taste is in line with the aroma, if a little thinner and toastier than expected. Toasted dark bread and chicory, caramel cremes, apples, whipped cream, and a hint of vegemite.

Feel is slick and creamy, medium-thin bodied with fine, bright carbonation. The creaminess accumulates on the palate.

Overall, a very nice brown, mildly sweet and roasty with some chicory-like bitterness. Creaminess is notable in every aspect, aroma, taste and mouthfeel.
