Notes:
Citra / Mosaic / Simcoe Hops
Lush citrus / ripe passion fruit / delicate spice / Enough about me, it's about the beats.

16oz undated can.
Pours cloudy yellow with an inch-plus head of white. Plenty of tattered lacing and persistent retention. Melon, orange, apricots in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft but thinnish mouthfeel. Bubblegum, apricot, peach on the palate. Finishes with minimal malt or bitterness and lingering citrus.

Geez, this was an ISO from Modestman for me for the past 2 years. Really the only one I was never able to find until trying locally on tap. The only reason I can think of that this may have not been the best representation, is that the keg kicked within 1-2 pours of mine, so maybe this wasn't exactly right. It was a great NEIPA, but nowhere near some of their other offerings. I'll need to revisit if found fresh in a can, which hopefully will have a date stamp. I stopped buying their beer after bad experiences with outdated/spoiled product.

Many thanks to Sawdog505 for this one!
A - Pours an opaque medium to dark orange golden tan color with dense, soapy white, bubbly lacing.
S - Pungent, dank, spicy tropical fruit aroma, citrus, pine, and pineapple.
T - Spicy tropical fruit, citrus, peppery fruit rind, pineapple, pine, passion fruit, grapefruit, and just a tad bit of onion / garlic goodness. There is some slight booziness that pokes through on the back end.
M - Big medium body that's dry on the back of the tongue. The hops coat the mouth and leave a dry, chalky layer of hoppiness lining the mouth.
O - This is a pretty fantastic D-IPA. Recommended. Period.

From an indefensibly overpriced 16oz can, undated as best I can tell. Served in an IPA glass.
Pours a thick-appearing, milky grapefruit juice colour with two fingers of soft and creamy, bone-white head. Retention is excellent, leaving a thick, pouffy cap and fat wads of sticky lacing.
Robust, fruity, creamy aroma. Grapefruit vanilla smoothie.
Overripe grapefruit to start. Tasting pineapple, papaya and peach, then composting cantaloupe dominating the back end. Not so much 'juicy' as like the liquid that collects at the bottom of of a compost bin. Dense, doughy and malty. Only mildly boozy relative to its stated abv, low bitterness but with a sort of a minerally, iron tang aftertaste that’s hard to pin down.
Feel is thick and creamy, pillowy, hefty bodied but with more than enough carbonation to keep it lively.
Overall, spot on to the style, the style being Trillium-clone NEDIPA.

I wanted to wait for New Beer Weekend for this one, but couldn’t control myself. Pours a hazy yellow orange with a half finger sticky white head that leaves thin webs of lace, sip after glorious sip with solid retention. 4.75
Aroma ripe cantaloupe, papaya, pineapple, tangerine, passionfruit, peach, and apricot pretty damn outstanding. 4.75
Taste follows cantaloupe, papaya, pineapple, peach, passionfruit, tangerine, and apricot holy lord incredible. 4.75
Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, soft gentle carbonation, not sticky or dry, and at 8.5% amazingly drinkable. 5
Overall these guys are killing this style, not a 100% but this may be my favorite from them and I am loving all the NEDIPAs. 4.75

** My review from Untapped is at the bottom**
Updated on 3/20/23 happy spring!!
Notes:
Soo, this is really just a fancy version of Mega that will be brewed and released only once a year. The bonus here is the addition of Simcoe hops.
"Lush Citrus/Ripe passion fruit/Delicate spice/Enough about me, it's about the beats."
Purchased at the brewery on 3/25/21 opened and reviewed same day.
Love the look! It's the best of New England IPA I think: Straw golden color with a white inner haze, thick and creamy vibe. The white seafoam style cap stays high and holds on tight. Fat lacing as it recedes.
That peppery citrus in the nose is my favorite. Spicy and earthy wrapped in dense tropical and stone fruit aromatics. Lush creamy golden grainy malt scent is sweet and spicy.
I always have to mention the mouthfeel/texture before the flavor when it's high quality hop liquid! Fresh, crisp, lush, pillowy smooth etc. Wow.
Peppery citrus and spicy fruity hop flavor kicks ass. Old spice rack style bite, with an ultra smooth and earthy grains malt complexity is MEGA. (Sorry)
Complexity and drinkability is off the charts. This thing is high grade.
Mega: The Madvillainy Edition
Modestman Brewing LLC
IPA - Imperial / Double
Citra>Mosaic>Simcoe is the ultimate triad.Dank amazingness. Dripping Sweet fruity flavor's with depth for days. Luxurious Mouthfeel. The depth of hop flavor's is maxed out. Earthy spice is nice. High point in the New England double IPA genre. Period.
