This is otherworldly. My 21st beer from Modestman, and I just can't say it's not the best. Gifted to me by a buddy, I never have super high hopes since they still don't date their cans. Holy moly, I ran out of superlatives long ago for this level of supreme sauce. It encompasses every aspect of NEIPA that makes it an absolute treasure to enjoy.

Can from tfontana, thanks for the trade.
Hazy lemon yellow with a thin bubbly white head that persists.
Tropical citrus and hints of earth and light pine with some sweet bready maltiness to counter faint higher alcohol notes.

From a 16 oz. can sampled on July 17, 2021.
It looks like a hazy DIPA should look with its milky, hazy yellow-golden appearance underneath a long-lasting, pillowy ivory colored head.
The aroma emits sensations of pine, tropical fruit, orange, and an ashy kind of doughy malt under belly.
Medium to full mouthfeel.
The taste starts off sweet and doughy but it does not take long for the pine and tropical fruit bitterness to take things over right up to the lingering finish. I found it to be one of the better DIPA's I have had lately in this world of DIPA's.

From a 16oz can, undated. Released 06/25/21, purchased at the brewery 06/26/21. Served in a spiegelau-style IPA glass.
Pours a cloudy orange juice color with a scant finger of soft, sudsy head. Retention is OK, leaving a creamy collar and a solid but slippery sheet of lacing.
Aroma is sharp, mildly sweet and fruity. Kiwi, lime, orange, sugar cookies.
Taste is generally similar to the nose, citrusy and tart, but totally dominated by a hot, harsh hop burn. Lemon, lime and pineapple, pine needles and green tea, then followed by grapefruit and piny bitterness.
Feel is juicy at first but ends with a throat clenching hop burn. Medium-light bodied with bright, zesty carbonation.
Overall, a bit of a mixed bag inasmuch as what I can taste tastes damn good but the hop burn is so intense my tastebuds are wrecked. Sure, maybe I could have waited a week to review it but, hey, that’s not how it works.

Thank you SawDog505 for this beer!
A - Pours an opaque light golden tan color with dense, soapy, creamy white heading surrounding the top of the glass.
S - Spicy onion and garlic abound on the nose of this beer and I love it. Oh yeah.... and followed with peppery citrus rind and spicy herbally hemp.
T - Dank, spicy, onion/garlic, peppery citrus rind, citrus, spicy peach, spicy grapefruit, and leaves an orange residue on the backside. Ends balanced with a nice lingering herbal and overly spicy citrus and lemon that lingers on the palate.
M - Thick, chewy, pillowy soft.
O - This is an outstanding D-IPA and personally one of my new favorites from Modestman and quite frankly D-IPA's in general. If you don't dig aggressive herbal spice than this is not your beer. If you do, you'll really dig this one.

[IMG] Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass canned this week. Pours a hazy orange yellow with a half finger sticky white head that leaves thin streaks of lace, with nice retention. 4.5
Aroma is ripe melon, peach, papaya, mandarin, hints of marijuana, apricot, and grapefruit rind. 4.5
Taste follows cantaloupe, papaya, mandarin, peach, marijuana, apricot, and grapefruit pretty bold on flavor, but nicely balanced. 4.5
Mouthfeel is a big medium, a tad sticky but not dry, soft gentle almost creamy carbonation, and at 8.4% it goes really easy. 4.5
Overall another excellent NEDIPA from Modestman. I am thinking this one might be little green and with another week in the can it will get even more balanced and get better. 4.5
